Some of you misunderstand where a lot of this performance’s power comes from. The concert has huge historical and cultural relevance. Romania was the last central/eastern Europen country to abolish communism (was the only country that had to do this violently loosing civilian lives in the process). People just 3 years earlier were forbidden to listen to such music. English was not thought in schools. The country was sealed off for decades. This concert represented true liberation, in a way, more real than the dislocation of the communist party. Michael knew the significance of what he’s done here. He inspired a whole generation to follow their dreams. The ecstasy we witness here is a whole country’s locked up emotions bursting out violently. It’s beautiful.

The power this man held is insane. People crying and fainting just by him standing there.

I am commenting from 2050. Mikhail is still and forever will be the king pop.

There will not ever be another MJ. He is truly a legend, and his legacy will live on.

His presence is like some alien has come on earth and everyone is in awe of what they are witnessing. No one is loved like this anymore anywhere. What a lucky man made the list among the greatest people who ever lived.

The fact he gets applauded, cheered for, and screamed for, just for standing still for 2 minutes. Is extraordinary on its own.

Remember my parents buying this for me on DVD in the mid 2000s when I was a kid. I memorized every single song and move, and wanted to perform it for my parents on a weekly basis. Still love Michael Jackson and all his songs to this day. RIP MJ. Greatest artist ever!!
