  • Simple solution, I love it!. Funny though, yesterday I was trying to fake a 1920's bob with waist length hair.

You folks giggling at being on camera at the start are ADORABLE

this is perfect! I have thick hair, shoulder length and its layered. I can only achieve tiny little pigtails and have loads of wispy bits left, but this tutorial has given me hope that I will be able to achieve that bump that holds your coif on 😀

The ladies doing the styling both appear to have lovely, healthy, natural hair. The lady in the pink vest's hair looks like it could be very long.

Huzzah! I have a similar hairstyle and "slippiness" so this makes me really happy to see.
  • Thank you for this video. It’s a great hairstyle for today, and actually quite easy to do following your excellent instructions.
  • All of that work and it got covered by a coif, bummer. I kind of wish I had a few of those coifs back when I lost my hair on the altar of chemo. There are many downsides to suddenly being bald (I lost all of my mid-back length hair in 3 days), biggest for me was how cold my bald head got!

Ohhhh, so the cap ties very like a German Wulsthaube. Which makes sense, I guess, but I wouldn't have supposed it. The Tudor silhouette is so much less exaggerated, by comparison.
  • Would they have used hair pins (the u shaped ones) to make it more secure? I usually braid my hair, poke the braids through themselves to wrap them around my head, and tie with string, but I still need pins to keep it in place.

Before I try this on my own hair, I'd like to know how easy it is to undo. I have long thick hair. Anyone tried it?

The next challenge can she do the braids on herself without help? 😉
  • Now I really understand why hair cutting was used as a punishment for women. This is really awkward and complicated.
