The following JCS Inspired documentary follows a family and the generations of abuse that affected the lives of each member.

While James Ronald Whitney enjoyed a successful life as a Wall Street executive, he was always troubled by his family’s dark history. There was sexual abuse spanning at least three generations, leading to alcoholism, drug addiction, and suicide attempts. In a brave move, Whitney not only confronted his grandfather, Melvin Just, but he made a documentary including his whole family, showing the stark reality of the cycle of abuse.

  • The dude that made this video, this documentary, is a hero and has a level of awareness and has evolved to a place we can all hope to get to.. to openly talk about the things he talks about, without any shame knowing that he was a victim, that's beautiful.. as disgusting as the topic may be
  • When you look at how angry and aggressive he is towards the grandson, but because the grandson is big and scary he can't actually do anything to him, imagine how abusive he was when he was a capable man, in his 30s and 40s or even in his twenties?? Imagine how intimidating and scary that monster was too little kids... If he was physically capable he'd be up in James's face trying to intimidate him but he's just not physically capable of doing that s*** anymore...
  • Pretty sad that you get caught with a little weed and do more years then someone who raped a three year old…. The justice system is a joke
  • They remind me so much of my family. We even came from Humboldt County, where this family lives. Generations of child abusers. After I married my husband in 1974, we took off and never looked back. We broke the cycle with my generation.

The fact that he can sit there and deny everything, even tho you have his entire family saying he has just proves how much of a sicko he is. All he can do is deny what he done.

that poor baby girl when she said “I will always love him but he won’t be forgiven… but he’s part of a family” i almost cried… so many generations of trauma in one video… i hope these people were able to find some peace despite the years and years of abuse. their personalities and senses of humor are a light in a very dark place
  • Glad more people are noticing this documentary. It’s difficult to get through, but well worth it to watch the entire thing yourself.

I'm currently disabled because of extreme abuse like this and its awful. I feel for these kids so much. No one should experience this cruelty.
  • @gkezele
The Funeral at the end with the "children do as your parents say" stuff was so CREEPY in the context of this family.

Good for the grandson… he’s stopping the cycle of abuse!!! Very brave!!
  • I stopped the abuse in my family. I refused to have kids. I’m now 61 and have never regretted my decision.
  • I think the death penalty should be given to pedophiles . To rid the society of evil and to deter people from doing such evil things.

Ive never seen nor heard of this case. To know this man only got 8 years.. after destroying countless lives. Fcking unbelievable and absoultely disgusting.
  • The denial of abuse, a mother accusing her daughter of “playing up” her disability for attention, these adults failed these children over and over and over again.
  • We absolutely have to change this!! I was subjected to sexual assault and watch my daughters and granddaughters like a hawk.

Nail on the head with it being like it’s two different people. When I was 6 my soon to be step father molested me twice ( I later found out he was also molested) for whatever reason it never happened after those times and for the next 18 years we never talked about it. He probably thought I didn’t remember. He was a great dad (as I didn’t have a relationship with my bio dad) never missed a sports game, taught me how to drive, bought me my first car at 16, cried at my graduation. Eventually thou I shared with my mother what happened. It was the first time I ever said it out loud. They divorced a few months later. And I can not tell you how much I missed him after he was gone. It was and still is so confusing. He’s since written me a letter explaining his abuse and apologizing and I’ve seen him a few times and it was cordial. But just so weird. This man that was my world is now an awkward stranger.

It’s insane how these mothers have so many excuses. They give up their daughters/sons to these creeps so they have a man. Nothing has changed. There’s 100s of news stories coming out daily that consist of “moms bf molests/murders/assaults her child”. On top of that, there’s no good men around to protect these children. He shouldn’t have been alive after he laid a finger on those kids
  • My god… This was one of the most horrific documentaries I’ve ever watched. I had to stop watching midway through. The sheer destruction of every childhood for generations is so far beyond heartbreaking that I have no word(s) to describe it further. I guess soul crushing could possibly start as another descriptor. And the complicity of the mothers…. Again, no words can come close to describing it. I believe Melvin murdered the school nurse because she suspected the sexual abuse that was going on and was going to expose Melvin as the monstrous predator and abuser that he was.
  • @StargazerAPW
How could a mother let that happen??? Heartbreaking… on so many levels!!
