  • I think the fact that it looks like a regular truck is the best part about it, there are a lot of people who don’t like the “futuristic” look on EV hence why they don’t want to buy one, the fact this looks like a normal truck I think will bring a lot of people who have been semi skeptical of the whole EV concept. Which means bringing more “normal, non tech savvy” consumers to the EV market. Smart by ford if u ask me
  • @BoyNamedKelly
The idea of "driving your power walls around" really sticks out to me. That is epic
  • @SaskSneeze
I get that it just looks like another F-150 but I feel like there is a space in the market for an EV truck that looks like a normal truck. There will be people that want to drive an EV but may not want the extra attention from other people.

The advantage of it looking like the gas Ford F-150 is that it less likely will be targeted by coal rollers, car jackers, and smash and grab folks. It just looks like a regular truck and plainness has its advantages.
  • I always love hearing the car review perspective of a non-car guy. Always gives a nice different perspective.

One comment: I believe Ford hit a home run by staying within their past history of the F 150 in looks. People tend to approach change with a touch of mistrust and shy away. Rivian on the other hand have no precedence so people can be curious and accept a new product. Cyber truck is just a reflection of a weird person's mind which attracts people with limited range. My dream is the Rivian, my bank prefers the Ford. Great video !

my opinion of this f 150 is the best electric truck ever
  • @ElitWolf01
I pre ordered back in October 2021 (106 of the list at my local dealer).. It will be my first EV and i've been a truck owner for 15yrs.. Currently own a 2020 F150 Lariet.. and reason i like the Ford so much is because it doenst stand out it doesnt shout "EV" it's a functional every day driver with all the bells & whistles i'll ever need... the 300 miles range is estimated with 1000 lbs payload.. im expecting 350-400 on average & know they will always advertise low so they dont get lawsuites.. My concerns are the Recalls.. with so many new vehicles coming out almost 99% of them have 1 or more recalls and that concerns me we dont have the luxury of producing a vehicle that has been tested 200k miles.. the pro to this is they offer 8 yr 100k mile warranty.
  • @crazypict
14:32 You said you disliked how the electric F150 look like. I do want it to look like an EV, I want it to look like a good looking regular truck/car. I hate the way EV's looks! Good job Ford! Othervice a nice video
  • @ak_hoops
I must say, your gripe #3 might be the exact opposite as to why they kept the look to same. Seems like Ford was going with "Same F-150, just better in every way" idea
  • @Gamerbro53
Honestly I prefer it looking like a regular F150. aestheticaly I love the F150 and it's great that you don't loose i=out on it's marvelous apperance.
  • Disagree with the “needs to look unique”. Majority of us like the look of our vehicles, perhaps love. EV vehicles look plain to me. I have a 21 4Runner TRD that’s lifted with large all terrain tires. If Toyota built it in an EV that looked like mine and it was affordable, I’d buy it hands down. This is where I believe Jeep will dominate. Those of us that off-road want to customize our vehicles…EVs can’t be customized, but the Jeeps will be able to.
  • @dash2justice
It's not just the US the F-150 has been the top selling car in the world for multiple years
  • @netgeek3010
EPA rated the extended range to 320 miles and one tester who had the lightning said they could see easily 360 miles of range potentially after 2 hours of continuous driving.
  • @GENIUSA1A
Important to mention a lot of these features are not standard on some models
  • @g_force3857
People will buy it for the looks I think, the Rivian and Cybertruck are made for people that need to be looked at… the Ford is going to be on top being able to run the house
  • @user-kf3ep5fn9g
I watch every single one of your videos cuz I love them keep up the good work Dan
  • @JeRKII
First awesome you even showed the broke down Ford in your count ( every make and model can break down ) Looking forward to yours and Zack's reviews on the new Silverado EV's and maybe the cyber trucks if they don't end up like your newest Roadsters. The option of plugging into your house as a backup battery is awesome even if you just leave it in your garage and never drive it.
  • @gnosis7662
I love this car! The fact it looks like a real F-150 is actually a good thing! The Cybertruck in contrast is the ugliest design for a truck that I have ever seen in my life! Keeping the classic look for Ford was a smart thing! Not sure why so many manufacturers think they have to make EVs look weird!
  • I really like how Ford integrated the horizontal display into the dash. With today's fuel prices my diesel trucks are doomed. I would like an off road edition with 1000 miles of range and a fully functional camper/mobile office in the rear.
