  • Just an idea: it'd be cool to have a series where you go back on really old props you made and basically give them a makeover, with all the new knowledge you've gained over the years. It would be cool :o
  • Oh sure, it's all fun and games now until The Grand Pumpkin comes to life and knocks on your door. Then you'll be sorry. 🎃

Wow! Just dragging out the corners of the teeth and eyes made such a huge difference! A little detail like that can go such a long way into elevating a prop from "yeah, it's OK" to "Wow!!"

Excellent job on the pumpkin! I personally would have gone with even narrower pieces of wood, and painted them a dirty yellow to more closely resemble bones. Stretched over cheesecloth this would help hide the fact that its actually wood. Maybe bot cut the cloth as much as you did, just tears ragged holes in various places. Overall, you guys did an amazing job with the materials you had.

That looks awesome. Reminds me of the scarecrows from opening scenes of Depp’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow:)
  • I have no idea how I have existed so long without you two in my life. I am beyond thrilled to have found and subscribed to your amazing videos and ideas. My life is now complete. Keep them coming and rock on. 💀 🕷

This is the simplest scarecrow I've ever seen and I absolutely LOVE this. I especially love the pumpkin head.
  • Fun trick: If you use steel wool or a wire brush on the edges of the cheese cloth, it will add a weathering effect.

Can you imagine the eyes lighting up and it turns as you step in the yard hehehe.

Am I the only one who was mesmerized by how great their lawn looks?
  • LOVE your stuff! One thing I like is how you show things that DIDN'T work, and what to do instead that DID work. Super helpful. :)
  • @horses2by
Fantastic idea thank you for sharing
  • @Brandywine6969
I like that effect on the pumpkin. It makes it look like it is made out of wood too.
  • It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!! He's rising out of the pumpkin patch!! ( faints ) THUD!!
  • @grayeaglej
This is great! :D Suggestion: cheap solar steak light parts stuck into the hole in the back of the pumpkin to light the head at night, and a solar garden "spotlight" with its lens colored red with sharpie stuck in the ground either in front to illuminate the whole scarecrow or in back to create a silhouette effect except for the lit up face. Happy Halloween :D
  • Very nice. Have some extra old pallet boards (they were free) in my garage which might be turned into one of these.
