Jason thanks for being so generous and helpful to your viewers. I would like to see how you maintain your traps.

Thank you so much. I had nests all over Potted plants this past summer. Not to mention near my berry plants or just regular veggy beds. It was a horrible summer. One veggie bed had it bad, nothing grew very well. Will definitely be trying all 3 remedies. I'm hoping this would also help when it's fig season.

Very informative! I would like to add some EPA employees work(ed) for the same companies they're supposed to regulate. So I wouldn't count on everything they say being 100 percent honest
  • Just when I noticed ants in my containers of rhododendrons! Thanks Jason!

You are very good at explaining. Thank you so much.
  • I’m going to have to try this. I have a huge ants nest that has started to attack people this last garden season.

This information is very likely, ants always disturb our plants and effect their growth habit. Thank you Jason sir for this kind information.

My grandmother used this method 70 years ago for her prairie farm gardens. She taught my dad and he showed me. It’s a simple, inexpensive, and relatively safe compared to commercial ant kill products. That being said, like all pest control measures, you shouldn’t get carried away with it.

Thank you for a very good and informative page about roses, the tips fit very well in Sweden where we have a similar climate. Would like to add something that we use in my area against ants, it is juice with Aspartame in. It works well in my greenhouse. When Aspartame is broken down, neurotransmitters are formed that overactivate the nerve cells so that the ants die.
  • I have large carpenter ants on my papaya tree and under some mulch in some of my garden area

This is great news! Going to try this. I have a ton of ants in my yard. No exaggeration. I had them in my blueberry bushes that I have in pots. I used diatomaceous earth but once I watered it was no longer viable. This would be a better solution I think because I don’t want to harm beneficial insects. Would this work on roaches? I have those in my yard as well. I don’t like roaches and don’t want them in my yard if I can help it. Thanks for the videos and any help with that question.

I live in the same valley as you. The ants i have are nicknamed sugar ants are in the house in a basement non living area with a door. There is a gap etween tne wall and floor in two tough to reach areas. I literally threw the box of borax at it while wearing a mask and itwas helpful until I get a handle on this. In the meantime it may have helped enough to stave off an extermination. They ran to the borax, a few hours later, theywere not apparent. Gping to make the sugar borax solution and use that as well.

I bought the borax that you can spray the dust in crevices some year ago. It worked pretty good. Now I have these little black ants around some bushes in the back yard in the planter. I see the privet has holes in it. I'm not sure if it's aphids or ants. Whatever it is the ants are highly annoying any time I water the plater, they come out in droves.
