OK- what size tires were on the 4Runner? What is the difference of wheelbases?
-
Lets see how the Bronco holds up after 5 years, 10 years or 21 years like my current 4runner with 385,000 original miles. Praying for the Bronco but sticking with Toyota. Just an edit to this, currently at 421k miles; starter was replaced…$120.00

Heard someone say the Landrover Defender was a very reliable 4x4. 😂 Cocaine is a Hell of a drug.

I grew up in my family’s shop, and I have several years working in Auto Parts stores. I always see the same brands having issues. You never see Toyotas. All Toyota owners buy are oil/air filters, and air fresheners.
-
I would like to see both these vehicles back for this test after putting 150 000 miles on them.
-
Hands down, the 4Runner is a beast and my top choice. That old Toyota tech just works so much better than the trendy Bronco. Great video!
-
The screen in the Bronco is larger than my first TV.

The TRD Off-Road is also available with KDSS which is like a mechanical, hydraulic front sway bar disconnect. It’s pretty amazing since it improves stability at highway speeds but allows for greater articulation when rock crawling.
-
Imagine you put $10k worth of mods into the 4runner to match the Broncos price… kings or icon lift, regear, 35s and front air locker. Front winch bumper and winch. It would mop the floor with the bronco.

I love the bronco and the 4Runner because they are real suvs

Great video! I can't help but think that the 4Runner pulling the Bronco was somewhat unequal. First, the holes dug by the Bronco, while filled in, were not as hard a surface as the Bronco had to drive on. Second, the stump blocking the front wheel made a huge difference in combination with the soft surface. I have no doubt the 4 Runner could have pulled the Bronco out with all the tools at it's disposal. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos!

Bronco looks fun but for me the 4Runner is much better overall. Ford trades reliability for high performance from a smaller engine. Plus I never spend as much time on the trails as I think I am going to so hi-way comfort is really nice to have.
-
I will still and always be 4Runner forever
-
crawl control is truly legendary at this point

The recovery wasn’t an apple to apple comparison. You used the front locker on the bronco for recovery. If you would’ve used Atrac on the 4runner it would’ve recovered up that hill. Also, you disengaged the swaybar. To give a better comparison, a 4runner with KDSS should’ve been used.

Love this channel. Keep up the great work!

Mad respect for the videos you are putting out. 👏

Finally!!!! The competition I've been waiting for! Thanks Driving Sports TV! ❤. Love this channel 👍

That Ford bronco looks great—however I’m keeping my Ford Ranger bc the tow rating is better. The Toyota is impressive.

Man, this may be the first FMC vehicle I ever buy. Also, first time viewer and now subscribed.
