If Mojang ever fixed the mobs seeing trapdoors as closed/safe to walk on I think 99% of mob traps would break at this point lol

It's an extremely low-maintenance leather farm. I'll take that any day. Plus, there's plenty of lava to burn the excess pork chops in.

farms are getting ridiculously op. I guess Mojang finally figured out how to combat farming, something they've been trying for years. Just make it redundant. Kinda genius tactic if you think about it...

Would love to see more early game builds / solo possible builds.

For those confused, it took me a while to set mine up, 2 important things to do is make sure you do what he does with the trapdoors and the solid blocks behind it, they HAVE to be solid or else the mobs wont pathfind towards it and will never end up falling in, another thing, to ensure you get the most spawn at the grinder, make sure there are no other spots they can spawn within 128 blocks of you in any direction, that is the max distance mobs will spawn away from you. i just built up with a ladder a hundred blocks and now i get plenty of spawns. I like it. So powered for the simplicity of the farm. I am definitly using this in the up coming update.

Wow this is remarkably easy to make, I could see some mix of this and a more advanced version being used super commonly in survival servers

Quick note! Still works in 20w17a. For some slight improvements, put glass above the mushrooms so that pigmen can't spawn on the dirt (was happening to me for some reason). Also had to destroy each corner of the spawn platform because hoglins were able to hide in the corners and avoid the mushrooms.

after 30+ minutes of counting i can confirm that the tube of stairs that the piglins fall inside is 30 blocks tall, wouldve been helpful if that was mentioned in the video!

This thing is BRILLIANT! I love it! I'm going to make this ASAP on my server and never have to worry about food again after a 1hr AFK session
