  • “Doctor, engineer, lawyers, or a failures” Asian parent favorite phrase. 😃
  • “They said either engineer, doctor or complete failure.” This hits hard for us 😔😣
  • @charmxx.
"It's either an engineer, doctor, or you're a failure." Coming from an Indian family, this was ABSOLUTELY RELATABLE-

3:03 Priya’s Mom: A good wife knows how to cook. Me: True, but so does a good HUSBAND too.
  • @Angela-tz1dh
"i dunno...Maybe he can cook for himself or cook for his wife" best line i have heard! I'm so grateful I married a man who can cook, but due to him working most afternoons/ late nights i take care of a bulk of the cooking. I'm not working atm as we prepare for our first baby due in May 2022, so I have more time for domestic jobs. Everyone's circumstance is different but every man should learn the skill of cooking. When he cooks its absolutely wonderful. I remember one afternoon after work he surprised me with a cooked lunch, and he always steps in and cleans the kitchen without me asking, I think he has a better work ethic than me. So incredibly blessed <3

Moral of the story: Money can't buy love, and a relationship won't work out if the only thing holding it together is money.
  • @soos11
These are my mother's rules on how to become successful: 1. Study hard everyday 2. Become either a doctor, dentist, engineer or lawyer 3. Start business 4. After getting the money, buy your mother whatever she wants 💀 Famous quote by my mother: "Either you study hard and become a doctor, dentist, engineer or lawyer to be successful, or work at McDonald's and become a failure" ~Mother Honestly sometimes I feel like they don't care about us, they just want us to be doctors, dentists or lawyers for the money 💀💀
  • As an Indian I'm glad my parents are ok with me choosing whatever I wanna be and where is wanna go even if I don't marry they just want me to have a happy life ❤
  • @TSTUDIO1
Thank you Dhar Mann. This teaches us that parents should encourage and support their children on their ambition.
  • Indian parent logic: "How'd you guys meet?" "We got married, that's how we met."
  • @minq._.
doctor, lawyer, engineer or complete failure The most favorite line of all Asian parents

Spoiler Alert...for anyone reading before finishing the video first. ...... Edit to add: I am speaking in regards to this video only. Women can be very jealous as well as men. In this instances I was speaking about Arjun in this particular video. I actually really love the ending. Arjun seems like a very modern man, and so excited that Priya is so successful. He is confident in himself to be comfortable with their relationship, and not being jealous or competitive to be better than her. I'm also happy her mother was able to finally see her daughter for who she is, and be proud of her for it.

As an Indian, I could understand that my parents never let me chase my own dreams... They always says that only doctors or engineers are successful these days because they are highly paid🙄 but one day I will prove them that I can make more money than engineers or a doctor
  • @shirinreza6250
This made me realize how lucky I am to have such supportive parents.
  • @aeromaximon
Moral of the story: Parents should let their children be who they want to be, not make them into who they want them to be. In other words, parents should be supportive, not manipulative.
  • @khushidua3063
being an indian girl, i relate so much to this video, parents need to understand that we can stand on our own feet and dont need any men to support us financially
