Huge metal head here. But, i listen to these, eyes closed, letting the sheer emotion and beauty wash over me. Classical is what made me a metal fan. But, the passion and expression of these arias are choking me up.

It is funny, you go on in life, hiding away the pain. When you listen to this incredibly beautiful music, your heart let's you remember the pain. Yet, in I think a really nice way. If that makes sense.
  • @MisterItchy
Wow! I don't know anything about opera but for that first lady to be able to emote without being able to move and still sing so beautifully! That's amazing.
  • @dianemoril7612
7:08 I remember it was in 2009 the opera was performed in paris and I bought 2 very expensive places for my husband an I. and I loved it so much that I came back later to see it again by myself, buying the cheaper place. it was just 5€. 5€ and you could hear such a beautiful music and watch a 3h opera performance. ah PARIS! such a blessed place!
  • @blackhagalaz
Somehow the sad Arias (Handel, Donizetti, Puccini) are my favorites. Sadness is just such a universal feeling that everybody understands, no matter how old the music is.
  • @Gianfranco_69
The expressions on Anna Nebtreko's face as she sings is priceless..... without Subs a person would pick up what she is singing about its that obvious Brava .....
  • Just a side note: In the first segment, "Lascia Ch'io Pianga, the soprano is listed as Noemi Nadelmann. Noemi Nadelmann was a part of this particular performance, but the soprano singing is actually the fantastic Deborah York. Both are great artists, and performed excellently!
  • @aninhaprsouza
Valentina Nafornita and Gianni Schicchi were sublime. Thanks, Pavarotti. You are the best ever. Rest in peace.

I'm pretty much a beginner who's just getting started delving into this beautiful genre of music and I find it amazing how many of these songs I know from other mediums. I've heard them throughout my life from cartoons to video games
