Came here after Mentour Pilot’s video, glad I did. What a legend and such a warm human being.

His sense of humour is a homage to his greatness. Amazing soul.

If not for Mentour Pilot You Tube channel I am certain I would not be aware of this wonderful pilot and person, Mr. Carlos Dardano. Terrific and talented gentleman. I hope everything comes true for Captain Dardano and that he lives a long, happy life. He is a blessing to all.

I’m so glad that mentour pilot covered this. There’s so many people that we look up to that are famous for silly reasons. And people like this go under the radar. Amazing story. I would be honored to talk to him for just 5 minutes.

He's my favorite pilot. Everyone talk about Sully being the best pilot, but I feel it's Captain Dardano. He's a legend.

What a wonderful interview with the finest commercial pilot on Earth. I was honored to have met Carlos. He told me in detail all about his wild landings. The way he described those stories was exactly the same as in this video; details the same, his cool attitude of these terrifying incidents being no big deal to him were the same, too. I never get tired of hearing about his escapades. :)

Carlos' story deserves to be made into a movie. I think everyone who appreciates films, flying, extraordinary experiences, and genuine heroes would enjoy it. I completely agree with his attitude about flying acrobatics. I think the more extreme an experience anyone has controlling any type of vehicle, be it ground, air or water based, the better prepared they would be, and likely calmer and more confident they'd be if faced with a potentially dangerous situation. Accidents often occur from extreme circumstances, of which few people are experienced or ready for. Having experience in extreme/out-of-the-ordinary flying/driving/riding, whatever, prepares people for the worst case scenario. If this was part of obtaining any vehicle licence I believe it could save lives; even if one life were saved, or one life-changing injury were avoided, it would be worth it. It's always struck me as ironic that so much effort is put into safety regarding laws and the mechanics/systems of vehicles, yet those piloting, driving, riding need only prove proficient during typical circumstances to gain a licence! No one has ever denied the value of experience.

This man is the kind of man we should raise our sons to be more like. Strong, stoic, confident, composed under pressure, naturally at ease with whatever comes along.
