Have you ever had someone tell you a story and at the end you felt like there was important information missing? Maybe your middle schooler said, “yeah, I finished my homework,” with a guilty expression on their face. Maybe the media presented what they called, “The facts…” but it didn’t seem like they showed the whole picture. It’s hard to trust someone when there are holes in their story.

But what if there are holes in your story, the story you’ve been telling yourself? Many of us have been telling ourselves stories for years, “I’m not…”, “I can’t…”, “I don’t…”, “They won’t…”. In this encouraging message from Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC we’ll learn how to interrogate the stories we tell ourselves. They may be what has been keeping you from receiving a full revelation of God for your life.

Don’t miss a very powerful section at the end of this message from Acts 10 verses 39 and 40 where Pastor Steven starts preaching from a punctuation mark. Pain, hurt and doubt punctuate all of our stories but no matter how much we’re tempted to let them slow us down it’s imperative we, “Don’t stop at the comma…”.

So raw and real....that God should have stopped the cancer...but it was not his story...pure anointing...he gets to the real stuff...sees it at our level and not as people would expect it to be told *as christians*..,and then gets us out if there...I can’t get enough of his preaching
  • I have been very distant from church and God lately. It seemed like I was on fire for Him just a short 2 months ago. The enemy has really been disrupting me and my peace. Its been making sermons less appealing, and even scripture. I came across this sermon and had to really push myself to press play. I am so grateful I did, spiritual warfare is such a real thing. This message strengthened me in this dry season and I am so grateful for a God who has never left my side through it. Thank you Elevation church. God has more for me, the best has yet to come, and my story is not going to be cut short.
  • “Sometimes we get so lost in the story that is handed to us, we miss the bigger story God is telling”
  • The best is yet to come, he who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it!!!

I was not supposed to be here, but God Sometimes we get lost into the story and miss a bigger picture from God. When we label ourselves, we Limit ourselves. Most times we chose stories to tell ourselves and we dont have to chose every situation. Its not Devil's Story. Word! Amen
  • I was lost, broken, and alone.. then I was doubted, surrounded, and misunderstood, but God came to me when He didn’t have to and did what only He can do. He made me- a believer!
  • Hello, I’m catholic from Iraq and I appreciate this man. Peace to all and god bless

I needed this desperately. Since my parents died in 2018 I gave up, I was angry at God, but that's not my story. My parents are with God, they were believers and are with the Father. Thank you pastor I was truly blessed. Love Teri from Cape Town

I don't have the words to say how anointed you are with holy spirit. It feels like a difficult season for me, and this message came at the time when I needed it the most. Thank Pastor Furtick.
  • Tears !! Sheesh !! Suffering majority for stories w/ holes & gaps I’ve created &told myself … lord this I needed this !! God has been w/ me in all things especially the hard ones … no matter how many times I go astray, grow distracted, detached, disconnected, doubtful … he has been here ever step of the way with unconditional love &undying grace. When I label &limit myself of unworthiness he’s says otherwise … he shows me otherwise. To him be the glory … I can’t thank him enough. Amen ! Thank you
