Only Tiger can make me watch a 5 hour re-run
  • “That will be the greatest scene in golf forever” - Nick Faldo. Truer words have never been spoken

Commentators didn't say a word for about 4 minutes after "Return to Glory". This is a masterclass in sports coverage.

This was my brother and I's favorite week for the last fifty years. We'd play golf in the morning and then settle in to our favorite pub to watch the tourney. I miss you Pat.
  • Anyone here in 2024 a day before the masters? Still get goosebumps rewatching this!

Simply the greatest comeback of all time by any individual. If you had asked any casual golf fan 3 years before this if Tiger would win another tournament let alone a major, 99% would've said no way. To be able to go through all that he has gone through, whether you like the guy or not, you have to admit it's one of the greatest comeback stories of all time.

My girlfriend will never understand how I can watch 5+ hours of a golf tournament that happened last year. And that just makes me sad for her.

5:10:34 that scene of him hugging his kid... that and the shot of him hugging his dad back in ‘97 will live as long as the game does

Can we just appreciate the putt at 9? 2:40:20. That putts took TWENTY THREE SECONDS from start of the roll to the end. That is maybe the greatest lag putt I’ve ever seen and I don’t think it gets enough appreciation because it’s not a birdie/hole out/etc.

I’ll never forget that April Sunday in 2019 watching Tiger win the Masters. Special day.

Who’s here after the car accident? Coming back here for the great memory of a day I’ll never forget
  • One of the great moments in sports history at the end and announcers smart enough to not talk for almost 3 minutes. Let the incredible crowd response tell the story.

Nick Faldo perfectly describes why this moment is just truly greatness that’ll likely never be matched! The euphoria and energy from every single golf fan, players and commentators adoring Tiger says it all - 5 years on, still get goosebumps
  • @chris3356
Love how Faldo and Nantz just sat back quiet and let the moment speak for itself. That will forever be ingrained!

Wife: “How can you sit there and watch a golf tournament from last year?” Me: “Because Tiger is amazing and it gives me goosebumps and brings me joy. How many episodes of ‘Holiday Baking Championship’ are you gonna watch in April?”
  • @KarmaJoe
This was the last Major my dad and I watched together as my dad passed a month after. I am so grateful that we got to share this moment. We both shed a tear when Tiger won. This was much more than just a moment in sports history.

4:36:42 "Oh my goodness" 14 years later and the moment was just as sweet. Verne is legendary
