Rock Crawling-Rugged Mountain Ranch!

Published 2023-05-30
On our way across the country, Rugged Mountain Ranch was high on my list of places to visit. This is where Tacket Creek, the trail from the 24hr Hell & Back challenge was filmed. Unfortunately I broke on day one, but check out what we did and be on the look out for our next video, our full review and everything you need to know if you want to visit this park!

That place looks awesome. I've never seen so many big rocks. I know it's different than back here at home. Anyone who has never dealt with our red clay wouldn't believe that it's slicker than grease. You know when you get a dozer stuck in it you've found your match. Have fun and stay safe guys!

Phillip my friend, You ARE.... living the dream! That place(which I had never heard of) looks amazing! After a lot of failures with my old buggy, one thing I insisted on was 1/3 wall drive shafts. That with some good 1350's has yet to let me down. Drive shaft place down in Spartanburg refused to make me some 1/4 shafts, but Olivers came through and I have yet to have an issue with them. well one, but it was a u-jont cap that busted the end out of it's self, but, I found it, replaced it, so it didn't have a chance to really give me an issue. Glad you got it fixed and back out there!

Absolutely my favorite park by far! "The Asylum" 5+ stars full body rigs not recommended! Definitely didn't see enough of the park. The small ponds on top the mountain are fun for the kids to fish in.

Asylum will make tackett Creek look like a preschool playground. Myself and the kids ran it solo the first day we were there first trail we did, it was insane. Definitely going back to the park crazy fun.

Based on your YouTube short a few weeks back our group has already started looking into taking a trip down to RMR. Maybe in February or next fall. We're just not sure if our rigs are built enough to hang with what looks like some extreme trails. In our group we have everything from a TJ on 35's to JKU's on 40's, but none of us are in a buggy. Looking forward to your next video on RMR about lodging and accommodations. We were looking at renting one of the large cabin areas for 10+ people. Is RMR dog friendly?
