Speeding truck cuts dangerously close to vehicle and pedestrians

On Wednesday September 12 2017 at 5:45 PM a pickup truck northbound in the centre lane at University Ave in Toronto turns hard right with squealing tires onto College St cutting off a vehicle and narrowly missing pedestrians. Cropped from GoPro across the street.

    wow!!!! that's a great example of some of the ridiculous turns that people try through pedestrian traffic

    You can see the one pedestrian running to try to make the light in time. From the left side of the frame. 2 second sooner and he would of been dead. Same goes for the skate boarder who decided to grab his board and walk instead of riding, that saved him his life.

    I noticed that the (under-sized) ped signal is steady Dont Walk. This speaks to the idea that much street infrastructure design is geared toward moving vehicles and puts pedestrians at risk.
  • Looks like a criminal trying to make a getaway. 🤔 (Or at least I hope it is, otherwise, that's just a "normal" driver, and criminals making getaways are, or at least should be less common. 😒)
