Stromatopelma calceatum also known as the feather-leg baboon tarantula, was first described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1793, It is found in West Africa.
This little spicy tamale was gifted into my care by @afterlifeartistry and I am truly thankful to have her in my collection, thank you so much Nat!
I really enjoyed housing this tarantula even if it did nearly cause me to have a heart attack!
This is not only a video for your entertainment but also a log of my growth as a tarantula keeper, any advice or constructive feedback welcome!

I’ve never kept a Tarantula as our only option here in Australia are Old Worlds & I find them terrifying 😂. The enclosure looks great & this is a pretty looking spider

nice job. Iv been keeping tarantulas for about two years. i recently got my first old world T. i got a P. Regalis, the Indian Ornamental. im gona be nerves when i go to rehouse this one. there is a S. Calceatum at my local shop, im thinking of buying it.
