He use to write me when I was in lockup. He had a powerful influence upon my life and gave me confirmation of my path. I love this brother very much. We will see one another upon the new earth in the kingdom of heaven. aho-emen!

May you rest in peace, you were a great inspirational leader. Will miss hearing you at the conferences. We never know when God will call us home, you showed how we need a relationship with Jesus regardless of our culture. Thank you.

I admire Richard's courage to speak the truth and do what is right in the face of opposition

I really really appreciate this man's perspective. My wife grew up on Standing Rock Res. So sad to hear of his passing. That's a terrible loss.

I just came across this video of an amazing, kind, well spoken, beautiful soul, Richard Twiss, as Im on my 2nd read of ‘One Church Many Tribes’ & since my 1st tead over 10 yrs ago, my arthritic hands make holding a book & turning pgs a challenge….Im going to save this & watch it often, after I share it w/ many….

Ahh, so nice to hear your voice one last time my friend. May your journey "home" be a joyous reunion for your soul. May we all continue your work, and may you be the wings upon our backs to do so.
  • Now I somewhat understand why when we were taken put in system not given to native American relatives we had no choice thank for the informative video GOD BLESS U AMEN

I am happy that I had a chance to attend some of Richard's classes this last fall at NAYA Family Center. Happy to find this here also. In paradisum deducant te Angeli.

As long as we all believe in Christ, we should all be free to bring our culture, language and traditions into how we worship God. <3

It was created by my friends of the Drum Group, Cedar Tree - Michael and Robert Rose... In July 4th-6th, 2012 - Just 7 months ago, I took Richard to the Cherokee NC Pow Wow, and introduced him to Mike, and Richard. With much humility and a sense of urgency, Richard asked permission from Mike Rose to continue to use the song, called "Thank God"... I was deeply honored to have been the go -between for this incredible moment in time... ~ YHE ~ Find it on YouTube on the NativeWire site... ~ Dohi
