Pro-Tip: If your boyfriend/Girlfriend/Partner always tells you your hair is boring and wants you to change it, go ahead, make the change of getting a new, more exciting partner. Nobody needs that kind of rude-ass manipulation in their lives.
  • @makuIa
when a partner tells you “change X it’s boring” it really means “i’m comparing you to others & they’re winning”
  • It’s one thing to see people ruin their own hair, but it’s SCANDALOUS when a hairdresser does it. This is awful. She trusted someone she SHOULD be able to trust.
  • @ShawtyOnn1
Lovely brown hair is NOT boring! It looked very nice before she went to the salon 🧡

THANK YOU for saying that if a client only wants a tiny bit taken off, you must not take off more without their consent, even if you personally think it would be better! After all, it's their hair and they have to live and be happy with it. There is nothing worse than a hairdresser who breaks their client's trust by chopping off more than was agreed on!
  • I am the queen of telling stylist to stop or leaving if it’s not not going well. I refuse to let someone mess up my hair. People need to not be scared to tell the stylist to stop!! It’s YOUR hair and your money. Period!

Honestly, she sounds like she has the wrong boyfriend not hair. Her natural hair was beautiful, just needed some layers and styling, with some natural balayage highlights. The stylist did a crappy job, like a beginning hair student, not even.

I asked a hairdresser once to just take off the dead ends and freshen up the layers. We both agreed that I needed to take off 2 inches and I was fine with that. When she was getting started she said that I needed to stand up during the haircut because my hair was too long she said. My hair had been longer than it was at that time and I never needed to stay standing for a haircut before. I thought it was strange, but went ahead since I really needed a cut. She wound up cutting over 6 inches and I was upset. She was nonchalant about it and said it'll grow back. Didn't offer a discount or anything for not giving me what I wanted. It wasn't a bad cut, but 6 inches of hair is a lot to lose when you're trying to get your hair even longer.

This video was amazing! The boyfriend though... I give him one star. He literally tell her that her hair was boring 😒
  • As someone who is SUPER close to graduating from cosmetology school (3 months), I'm just SO glad that I've been close attention in class and even MORE happy that I've found your channel while I'm still in school. I was noticing all the problems you were pointing out right away, and that just confirms to me that I've really been retaining the information I've been getting from school, and from YOU! Thank you for everything you do, you're an AMAZING teacher! 👏❤👏❤👏
  • This is exactly why I have trust issues with getting my hair cut. Last time I went I said to cut 3-4 cm or inch and a half. Went from long hair to above sholeders in a matter of seconds. Woman just grabbed half my hair and cut 20 cm off (8 inches). I was in shock and all I could see was my mom in the mirror, her eyes almost poping off her eyesockets and more than half my hair in the womans hands. She had the nerve to ask if that was enough, while I told her 3 times that I only want to cut an inch or two. Might as well f up my hair for free by myself instead to pay someone to do it.

I didn’t really hate the first color, but the ‘fixed’ color, oh my god. Hideous. And that cut! When she turned around and showed the back - that was just bad. I’ve had a few bad experiences at the salon, but that was one of the worst weed-cutter haircuts I’ve ever seen.
  • @Megs1921
I actually thought it looked really nice before she went back. I get it’s not what she wanted but I wish mine looked that thick and beautiful!
  • I feel this is how most salons in the U.S. are. I go in with chest length hair, ask for a trim, end up with chin length hair. I go in wanting a dark ash brown with highlights. I leave with dark brown and two orange streaks in the front.

Having experienced hackers on my long but fine hair, I finally learnt to say "Stop!" Your common sense tells you that that dude shouldn't even be allowed to cut a hedge with his lucky packet qualifications. Yikes.
  • @toosense
This is why I stopped going to salons. They never give me the cut I want, even with a bunch of pictures and I’m always disappointed. I am not very picky and the cuts I ask for are basic, like a blunt bob or something, when I ask to thin out the bottom they always cut layers even though I say NO layers. I just want it thinned out. I just do it myself, if I mess it up at least it’s free.

My favourite part of this video is Hair Buddha having had enough of the "she had brown hair" and busting out the catalogue 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • @bellekohen2009
I was so tired of bad hair cuts and coloring that I had to learn how to do it myself, and since then my hair is healthy and growing like never before. You don’t only need to like what you do, you need to love it and that love and passion will show in your clients hair🌺
  • @queenkoi
You knew it was headed into the danger zone when you didn't see sectioning before cutting... I am honestly very grateful the cut turned out the way it did because anything could have happened with just taking hair from wherever 😱 the color is totally fixable though, so the outcome is challenging but not a total disaster. ❤️ I was scared there for a moment 😆
