The supposed tragedy of wheels falling off never resulted in an actual owner wheels falling off. It was a manufacturing issue caught while reviewers were beating on the vehicles for review. It was fixed over a year ago and had nothing whatsoever to do with the EV propulsion system.

If you are talking about efficiency, combined hgwy+city in SUV category. Only Tesla Model Y(AWD, Long Range AWD, RWD) gets more Le/km. If you are looking at whole bev category then only Lucid air touring and pure, Ioniq 6, Model Y and 3 are the only ones more efficient than this/bz4x. They match Model S, EV6, Bolt EV and EUV. It still more efficient than ID4, Ioniq 5, Model X, Mach E and everything from BMW and Audi.

In Asia it is stated at 605 km for Long Range Version of BZ4X (GAC manufactured)

You said that id only has adaptive cruise control, but other reviewers showed lane keep assist (auto steering) as well…

My concern here is that the BZ4X is the ONLY EV product that Toyota offers, while they have many Hybrid vehicles. Is that a sign of the times? I am looking at either a Kona or Corolla Cross Hybrid next year when my current Kona lease is up (2024-25 model year). I would prefer a hybrid as then I don't have to pay an electrician to install my own charger and maybe pay $$$ to upgrade my home circuit box to handle the extra 240V charging system (but I have solar roof panels, so my kWh are Green energy).

Lumping bZ4X into the same category as other crossovers isn't useful. Notice how much larger and higher it is compared to others, like Kona? Also, the off-road abilities Subaru shouldn't be downplayed. Many reviewers noted how impressive that design is.

I would guess that all the dog accessories have to do with it's relationship to the Subaru Solterra. And by relationship, I mean it's the same car.

Toyota don't want a repeat of 2009 with claims of unwanted acceleration resulting in millions of recalled vehicles. Imagine stupid drivers crashing in their Toyotas equiped with lots of driver aids and blaming Toyota and Toyota is a juicy target, that's just a guess by the way. Maybe the aids consume additional energy that further reduces the not so impressive range and or to keep the price down.

Do the Subaru Soltara….oh wait, never mind

Guess I will keep my prius and be happy😅😅😅

Are you a court side reporter in NBA? Just heard your voice interview Duncan Robinson after LA Lakers lost to the Miami Heat. 😂

This is a toy car. I am very sad to buy this car because its only problem is charging. First of all it takes long time to charge if 50% charged with level 3 it will take 2 hours 30 minutes. Then you have to keep the car at full stop which you have to suffer in extreme cold, heat. After that if you turn on the heat and AC then you can run the car for one hundred miles. So don't waste your time and money buying this car. thank you
  • @ChicagoBob123
You really glossed over the charging issues. Preconditioning? The car is tragically a mess.

$43K is a + ?! I think its the biggest prob w bz4x. Should be much closer to Bolt (rip) $
  • @larryo6874
It seems like Toyota is kicking and screaming about getting into EVs so they decided to join the crowd but they don’t like it so they came out with a rather pathetic EV with poor range and a long recharge time.
  • @coldtesla6212
Nice try, this car sucks, expensive and the damn wheels fall off!!
  • This car is an indication that Toyota is clueless and will not survive. They want to build Hybrids not EVs. Their cars suck but people are brainwashed and it will take years for them to move on.
