  • Grew up there, live in Phoenix today. People still there love this type of drama. News presents snowstorms as a negative but the people love it. They complain of course, but that's part of the fun for them. And yeah, it was a lot of fun.

    Those Buffalo people are A M A Z I N G ! ! ! Hats off to ya! ❤
  • I live in buffalo and I was praying for snow to cancel my Orgo exam at UB. Break is around the corner and I can’t even get back home from campus.

Been living here 65 years.. this brings back many memories.. . . A born and raised Buffaloin. This is very normal growing up here!!
  • Plan Strategicially..... Shovel Snow when it's still 10inch or below 12inch..... then repeat when it gets to another 10inch to 12inch... It's harder to shovel snow when it's more than 12inch...especially when it's wet snow... It's better to keep on repeating it than to exert all your effort in one gigantic blow that would eventually claim your life. take care y'all people in Buffalo, NY!

It's almost as bad as that time 6 inches of snow fell on texas
  • @Che9009
Back in my day we walked 50 miles in 10 feet high snow just to get to school.
  • The media acts like every single weather event is historic or unprecedented LOL..

I remember it was 1938 snowstorm of the century they called it. It was about that time Joe and I fought off a local troublemaker named cornpop with two shotgun blasts in the air there was 6 feet of snow and I had a raised the flag over the site of Bethlehem. Good times, folks, good times.

All time Canadian record is 57 inches ! Buffalo just blew that away by a foot. Wow. Stay safe and warm .

I told my fiance we're getting a snow mobile. After this last storm, we need it. Feeling trapped like that was so scary 😞 the girl that passed away in her car literally breaks my heart still The snow here sucks!!! Missed so many days of work... If we have more storms like this it's truly going to be terrible. The 2 snows we've had people literally died... smh

Buffalo was the snowiest large city in the country last year and on off to a huge head start this year.
  • @robbsclassics
To give reference, I'm in Batavia, which is about 40mi due east of Buffalo. We barely got a foot. At least its sunny and getting warmer out now. But get that snow off any structures you can. It'll only get heavier and shifts as it melts.
  • I lived in Orchard Park with my parents from 1979-1985. Some years back, I found pictures of my Dad shoveling our driveway while I was playing in the snow.

We live 20 miles south of Buffalo and it is worse than they’re saying. My husband plows as a side job and has been going nonstop. I’m a new snowbird in AZ so I’m gloriously missing this cold weather. I feel bad for my husband and my adult son, but seeing total sunshine out of my windows is surely a breathtakingly beautiful view!! 😂❤❄️🌞 Be careful when shoveling!! If you can’t do it without getting winded, many plow drivers will help you for free. Just call them. Better to be safe!
