DR650 PAIR Valve Delete Kit

Published 2023-10-24
Removed the pair valve. Hopefully helps more with the decel popping now that its not getting extra air injected into the exhaust.

  • Great video Mario! It’s going to be a great help to lots of DR650 owners who bought a DR with the stupid emissions stuff on it. I have a 2020 and I luckily didn’t have to address this. Cheers!!

Interesting, I don't know much about the newer emissions hardware on late model DRs. Great vid

Thank you for sharing this! Looking to get a new dr650 and if I can save a bit of weight while lowering exhaust temperature I'll take it!

Excellent video, great help 💪 i did notice after i installed block off plate and everything plugged i noticed a chirping sound from the cylinder head area. Not sure what it could be. Its somewhat loud and very noticable.

Have you found any difference in the decel popping? I have heard the pair valve is responsible for a lot of the noise you hear out the exhaust?

Hi, great video, I am about to do this to my bike with the stock tank. Did you use a gasket under the block off plate? It didn't show it but I assume you removed the lines and canister at the back left on the bike. Also how many lines are attached to the bottom of the tank, I understand there is now a vapor removal line that goes somewhere on the bike. Can that be blocked off or do you just let it vent somewhere?

Question I put new tank on with regular petcock. Can I just cap the top carb connection part? Great vid man Thankyou
  • Do you really need to remove the tank? Seems like most of that is accessible without removing it.

I never saw where the larger rubber plug gets installed.
  • @tribalbc
Get rid of that charcoal filter as well and just vent your tank to below your linkage. Caused me more issues than the pair valve
