Great video Mario! It’s going to be a great help to lots of DR650 owners who bought a DR with the stupid emissions stuff on it. I have a 2020 and I luckily didn’t have to address this. Cheers!!

Interesting, I don't know much about the newer emissions hardware on late model DRs. Great vid

Thank you for sharing this! Looking to get a new dr650 and if I can save a bit of weight while lowering exhaust temperature I'll take it!

Excellent video, great help 💪 i did notice after i installed block off plate and everything plugged i noticed a chirping sound from the cylinder head area. Not sure what it could be. Its somewhat loud and very noticable.

Have you found any difference in the decel popping? I have heard the pair valve is responsible for a lot of the noise you hear out the exhaust?

Hi, great video, I am about to do this to my bike with the stock tank. Did you use a gasket under the block off plate? It didn't show it but I assume you removed the lines and canister at the back left on the bike. Also how many lines are attached to the bottom of the tank, I understand there is now a vapor removal line that goes somewhere on the bike. Can that be blocked off or do you just let it vent somewhere?
-
Question I put new tank on with regular petcock. Can I just cap the top carb connection part? Great vid man Thankyou
-
what back rack is that you have?
-
Do you really need to remove the tank? Seems like most of that is accessible without removing it.
-
I never saw where the larger rubber plug gets installed.
-
Get rid of that charcoal filter as well and just vent your tank to below your linkage. Caused me more issues than the pair valve

My 1998 dr doesn't have any of those Just rust
