  • Those windowless packages are going to be known as one of the worst business decisions a company has ever made.

Turns out shitty packaging and shitty pricing isn't a good combination. Who knew?
  • @craxyman9025
Finally Legends collectors have grown pair and stopped supporting the BS

It honestly sucks that hasbro keeps making the prices more and more expensive on the marvel legends, classifieds, and lightning collection figures. For me I've actually started getting more mcfarlane and even some bandai products because they are overall cheaper by comparison. Hasbro seriously needs to realize that they are only going to lose consumers of their products if they with their current trend. It kinda hurts me to say this, considering how much I really enjoyed the past few waves of marvel legends. I hate to see the prices go up, but at the end of the day, I have to think about how to spend my money to get the most bang for my buck.

The price change wouldn't be too bad if they did better with accessories. As for the windowless packaging, there are far too frequent paint issues with these figures to justify not having the window.

My issues with Hasbro Marvel Legends is: 1. They went up on there prices 2. The quality of the figures in my opinion is horrible. They just don't put much work into them. 3. It's hard to find some figures depending on the area you're in. 4. They constantly release the same characters with slightly different color schemes. like Wolverine how many of the same Wolverines will they come out with

People are swapping figs like crazy but with the new marvel boxes that’ll make it even easier yikes.
  • @kodo_9729
for the quality, price and windowless boxes, im def scaling back on legends.Ill take my chances and hope I find on clearance

The price increase for the Marvel Legends has really altered my collection. I also collect mint packaged figures. With the windowless packaging, I find it hard to trust that I get the figures I pay for. This new "environmentally friendly" wave makes me nervous
  • Hardcore Legends collectors pre-ordered those "Renew Your Vows" packs. They'll pay the hike prices. However, the casual brick & mortar store toy shoppers aren't as likely to pay the higher prices for figures, so BestBuys, Walmarts and Targets are bound to put these windowless box sets on discount eventually. Hasbro seems to be testing the market right now, trying to determine ways to continue to cut corners while charging extra in an effort to see how far they can push things before customers dwindle. It's like they're trying to determine what is cost effective in the ever-changing market for selling figures. It might actually backfire on them, because a lot of collectors actually can hold a grudge better than a ceramic cup can hold coffee.
  • Legends used to be a collector's go-to since the whole purpose of the line was to be affordable and extremely diverse. Now it's just overpriced crap.
  • If I can't see the figurine in the paint applications and how well it's done I'm not going to buy it Hasbro better rethink their whole packaging idea real quick.
  • Prices are affecting my collecting. What's really killing it is having the ones I want only coming one per case. Not paying scalper prices for that one either. If I don't find it in the wild...i can do without.

Ever since 2017 I have tried to get every single Marvel Legend, but recently I was forced to cancel a lot of my pre orders in order to budget myself, which is the first time I have ever done that. The price increases are going to cost them a great deal of money, and admittedly at this point a small part of me wants Legends to die, which breaks my heart to say, but I see it as the only way for them and other brands to get the message.
  • @km1157
Yes the price increase is affecting me when it come to Marvel legends. I did the last thor wave. And unless I can get the figures under 25 I’m not getting them. I would rather get a import figure. That might be worth more than a marvel legend. The only ones I’m willing to pay out that price for is some of the wrestling figures and Fortnite. That is not a import figure.

Tbh i never have a problem with windowless packaging because i collect gundam but after seeing the review for the stealth future foundation suit, i see that the figure in hand is worse than what it supposed to look like in the box art and dont forget the price hike. Basically windowless packaging is not good for marvel legends at all and i despise the price hike.

I know everyone in this comments section is talking about them being overpriced, and you are gosh darn right! I have 28 Marvel Legends, and I've gone to Funko Pops, because they're very affordable and just are great overall. Here in Canada, Marvel Legends used to be $38 (WOW, I know right?), and now they have jumped to around $45.... WHATTTTTT The Two-Packs are around $75-$95
