Looking at that crust pealing off was oddly satisfying...
-
Those qare absolutely incredible! What a great find! I had never seen anyone "hammer" off the rock outer shell. I love watching all these finds from the Civil War!I can hardly wait to see these cannonballs and 'bombs' when they are restored!
-
Historic preservation Chig. I really enjoy watching it. Thanks.
-
It never gets old seeing these.
-
Beau you are something! There seems to be no end to the major finds that you recover! happy for you and keep the videos coming. Awesome!!!!!!! See you at the next hole!
-
I love finding old wooden stuff, it is amazing how little of it is still around.
-
Incredibly entertaining and educational Beau. Thanks for posting!
-
Man! Most people would be lucky to find 1 in their life,....You must be doing something right! Congrats!
-
Watching you clean that big shell with a hammer was strangely satisfying.
-
You are finding so much! I have a school classmate who has been metal detecting in the Fredericksburg Va. area for the past 40 years and started out with his dad in the White oak, Stafford Va. Area. Now they have and old school House in White Oak Va. It is known as White Oak museum and Research Center. Just an incredible museum of Union encampments from the Fredericksburg campaign. It looks like you are on your way to having your own Museum . Just a pleasure to watch your video's. Thanks again Dave

Tap tap tap - BOOM!

Hey Beau, the un-punched Borman fuses... Wouldn't those shells be a little on the dangerous side being they are basically dropped and un-fired? Just curious! Killer finds and simply loved the pre-cleaning beating! You got a nice haul of CS artillery there my friend!

This is better than Christmas!!!

What Statler& Waldorf are to the Muppets, Slash is to Beau. just some comic relief.
-
Wow. I haven't seen cannon balls like that. You're the civil war cannon ball man Mr Chiggstermeister sir!

Wonderful just love watching them come out of their shells, have a great day Karla

Those are some awesome finds. Congratulations. I do good to find one Civil War bullet at a time, but I can't complain.
