They are at a more competitive advantage picking up a Carr or Cousins contract where another team is paying that deferred or bonus cap hit. Jerry can afford and would pay 50% over the cap if he could, year in and year out, the cap may flatten a bit because of it but that will happen well after Dak signs his next contract because of how long it will take before any checks are signed, more than a year from now.
