Wanted to get the front gate planted - more so in my mind I know where the boundaries are (it's at the bridge - so we are definitely are using the whole build area).

Also a new shop build - this time out of metal.

I mention her in the video, but I'd highly suggest checking out Madqueen Show; as she has some interesting shop ideas and watching her video reminded me to think outside the box again.

~8 years later~ I actually live near Lexington and Concord Massachusetts. Especially in the early morning hours, in early fall (which is also when the bombs dropped in game), it is very foggy.

Keeping the videos around 15 mins from now on - as those 30 minutes and more ones were a little long. Plus I want to spend more time editing them and generally upping the quality. Which I will play around with from the next video. Enjoy!

I love how freaking creative you are, I can't not watch a video because of it
  • @the-chillian
You know he's really in trouble when he calls himself "DAVID!"
  • I've seen a lot of let's build style videos, but I have to say, you are probably the most entertaining to listen to in addition to making really awesome stuff, so thank you!!

You are a beautiful being, first time actually trying out building at settlements and your ideas are so helpful/creative! Thank you ❤
  • Thanks for showing the tip attaching stairs to the concrete block so I can put a pre-fab squarely on top! Been doing my head in trying to work that one out!

4yrs later and videos are still a great help for me thanks bro

When you build a front gate the night before he uploads a video and now you gotta spend Friday night knocking it down again because it's nowhere near as good as you thought it was...
  • @Therooks17
Really enjoying these build videos. You're so much more creative than I am, so my settlements are looking a lot better thanks to you :)

Highly recommend building front gate from 2nd house on the right or workshop to the 4th house on the left or your old house. It’s the best spot for enemy spawn points. The bridge gate has 2 spawn points behind it if facing toward the bridge

Thank you again for a great build video. I now double gate my major gate entrances ... each opening opposite ways ... gives the illusion of a more solid obstacle to incoming raiders. Some are between concrete blocks and some are as you show, between "guard towers".

I use those dual switch doors you did a tutorial on for a secondary door into my personal compound at starlight, and this was just what I was looking for as a sanctuary entrance for my minuteman character. Thanks.

Many thanks for the shoutout, you are such a sweetheart! The shop looks great, truth is although I always like messing around with doors I never found an aesthetic way to use the round ones, glad you gave me another point of view, you gave my an idea for my next settlement, thanks!

Man, your commentary just makes these videos ten times better. Lol.

Good stuff~! I used the last one to step-by-step build my first 'cover-up' houses, and they both worked flawlessly :) (of course they did, cuz Davey said they would - but still, it was me tryin to do it).
  • I love this entrance, I added lots to it but it wouldn't be the same without this, and surprisingly the ai seem to know their way around it even though I am at least 5 times over the size, and with all the rugged glitched items

Thank u for making this video it has helped me have a better knowledge on building and make a entrance gates to my settlements

This has got me thinking about some good ideas to replace the shop centre on the video I tweeted you . Awesome video, bud!
