I don't get it. Why don't you just build one DeLorean, go back to the 80s and get all of the missing original parts?
  • No doubt about it, the DeLorean became world-famous by the "Back to the Future" films. I am not a sports car guy, but I am a huge fan of the movies. It is fascinating that a car that ceased production in 1982 still lives on.

    It's an immortal design! đź‘Ť

I literally drove right by this place a few days ago and saw "DMC" on the building, I thought nah that's not the DMC I'm thinking of. Then I saw this...

I could think of no other car deserving of an electric motor.

A DeLorean in Europe is just so incredibly rare! I’ve never seen one drive! This man is living a dream.
  • @GHOSTJERKER
And to think John DeLorean was also responsible for the iconic Pontiac GTO. Great designer!

'You Built a factory... from old DeLoreans ?' 'Well I figured, if your going to have a factory, you may as well have one with style !'

The whole delorean story is truly fascinating. I was a child when this car was produced. Even tho it was rubbish underneath it was a cool looking car nonetheless. Back to the future truly made this car iconic though.

just replace the engine and this car is a dream
  • @grumpyoldman336
You should sell them as kit cars, offer up different engine packages other than the lump it came out of the factory with , hell id prob buy one out of nostalgia reasons they still look great

This DeLorean news is so reassuring for me. I hope DMC will hold up long enough where I'm able to get a lift there with the money in hand and roll through the streets with a piece of art on wheels. Edit: Here comes the next few years or decade when a [lucky] DeLorean is mine.

I have been aware of your company for quite a while now, but this is the first time I have seen this film, which is brilliant. I live in Belfast about 1 mile from the original factory site and can tell you that John Delorean was a much loved and respected man in this part of the world. I first saw the car as young child at the Belfast Motorshowin the early 1980s and was blown away by it. It's so great to see that you have embraced all that was great about DeLorean and are keeping this very special car alive, so thank you from a fan in Belfast.

DeLorean reopened in 1997 and have been selling since. There are even dealerships, such as the one in Florida.  CNET, you all need to catch up! lol

"No computer system" that's freaking beautiful
  • I worked on the initial interior design of this marvellous automobile in my university days ! Was a dream car then ! Wish I could get my hands on one !
