I`m a 65 years old Japanese man, and I`ve just retired in December, 2021. One of my biggest dreams in my retired life is that I would like to travel from Moscow to Beijing by Trans-Siberial Train. Since my country Japan is a small island nation, I would like to experience enormous landsape in the continent.

I made this trip back in 1987. Back then it was really simple and no alcohol served. The food was to put it mildly, bearable. But apart from that, the scenery is what makes this trip worth it. We travelled 1st class and it was fine but nothing luxurious. Still a very memorable trip I'd take again.

I used to live, as a child, a few kilometers from it, in Novosibirsk's Academic Town. At night I could hear the trains. Never travelled the whole length of it, but many times westwards, from Novosibirsk to Moscow.

I found this video very unexpectedly. Memories flooded. Many years ago I lived in Mongolia and traveled this way several times, I am very proud that I had a possibility to experience this. some of the best memories of my childhood. I took a round trip from Moscow to Vladivostok 4 times. Train used to stop in the deep forest so people can pick some mushrooms and berries
