Not to be dramatic but I probably would've passed out if I was watching this live
-
Mariah sang with Aretha, Whitney, and Patti. She can sleep peacefully every night.
-
Did Patti just harmonize with Mariah’s whistle??? That’s insane. This is a duet of two powerhouses.
-
What makes this iconic is they don't care who's better 😂 they're just enjoying the moment
-
mariah looked so happy after she nailed that whistle aww
-
Another note that speaks to Patti; she was totally supportive of Mariah. Other "queens" of music would have never allowed Mariah to hit that note out of insecurity. Patti is secure.
-
It's the grin on Mariah's face grin after she knew she nailed that whistle note! I love it!
-
the conductor is living his best life
-
That whistle note blended so well with that belt
-
They hit the same note, but different octives, that's why it sounds too good
-
Legend has it that Patti is still saying "Mariah" to this day.
-
This might be the most comfortable duet that Mariah has ever done. She seems so relaxed and enjoying herself. It resulted in a very very amazing and fun to watch performance. I really hope there is a clear recording of this.
-
They freakin' hit the same note in 2 different octaves using the same vibrato speed! JUST PERFECT!
-
Ultimate Godmother & Goddaughter goals
-
Patti LaBelle smiled from the moment Mariah got on stage until the very end. One can tell that they absolutely love each other’s talent.
-
American audience took this for granted. I can't even listen to the original anymore. This is the shit for me.
-
The cameraman was shook during Mariah's whistle😂😂😂
-
I ALWAYS love it at 1:25 when Patti flings her hair like "Let's get ready to hit that high note GURL"
-
Usually I don’t like when Divas do live duets like this because they often compete with each other. But this performance was in perfect harmony and you can see the admiration they have for each other.
-
1:25 gotta secure these edges before the note
