Wow! We had the pleasure of visiting Wilber’s Barbecue in Goldsboro, NC. They fix barbecue the old fashioned way- low and slow. Whole hogs are cooked overnight on oak embers over open pits. Then they fix/chop the barbecue fresh for you before they open. This is the most labor intensive way to fix barbecue and you can taste the difference! Come along with us as we try this amazing restaurant for the first time and take you on a tour of the smokehouse.

    As I told you before, I remember visiting a barbecue restaurant in Goldsboro many years ago that served up half a pig on the counter and the customers pulled out the meat they wanted. This building looked a little familiar but it’s probably not the same place. Was really impressed how they prepare the pork. Would love to visit myself. Food looked so good!! I’m like you, I love good barbecue .

    There were so many original items here. The hush puppies with gravy sounds like an amazing combo. All of y’all’s plates looked delicious. The Wilber cookie had so many tasty ingredients - we bet it was fantastic. The total was so low given how much great food that you guys got.
