When did age become such a problem?

Published 2020-09-23
Welcome to my twenty-seventh video on Yours truly, Jessy!

Today I wanted to discuss age, ageism and how people are being discriminated against for their young or older age in the workplace. Since when did our age become a reason for people to comment on our work ethic, passion or motivation? Whilst I've never experienced being held back from work opportunities because I'm too old or too young, I know this is a problem that happens, but why and what can we do to stop it? Let's get thinking and talking because together we can make positive changes for more equal opportunities for hard workers!

Yours truly,
Jessy

i can relate Ate. they always tell me “you’re too young for that” or “you don’t have enough experience to that job” and that is why i wanted to apply, to gain experiences but they keep on rejecting because they said i am young and inexperience
