What I don't understand if you were disappointed and yet you bought what he offered. I really think it awful that people are playing this appointment game and then you accept the scraps they drag out of the stock room. Seriously. People need to stop falling for this awful sale tactic. With that said, I'm happy your aunt will be happy. My story was simple. I walked in. Asked for a specific Kelly and she came down with it. I looked at it and declined it. Her face was priceless. She could not believe I didn't want the exact bag I had asked for. But here is the difference, I am fluent in French and I am not desperate for a purse. I honestly feel people need to take their power back with luxury brands. They are nothing unless we spend.

The bag is in Barenia Faubourg leather. That is a heritage leather that ages beautifully. Sorry that things did not work as anticipated. This said, the leather appointment is a gamble, it does not guarantee being offered a QB. Also, people from the US, Australia and Asia are more in luck vs. Europe.

I have totally quit wanting anything from Hermes. I sold the two bags I had (neither k, b or c) and all my belts, shoes and Accessoires. I tried getting a K or B for over 25 years. I don’t live close to a store to build a relationship and every time I travel and meet an SA, I tried to build a rapport which is a bit tougher long distance and then they leave. I almost paid twice the price for a new one the resale market for a new bag and thought - I must be crazy. I’m over it. I’m a VIC with LV and own many Chanel’s and am happy with what I have. My money is good elsewhere and they shan’t have anymore of mine.

Sevres is my home store in Paris. I don’t live in Paris, but visit 3-4 times a year. Basically you need a good SA there that you consistently shop with and pretty decent purchase history. I got a Birkin 25 last week and have gotten a mini kelly and special order at that store also. I have also had appointments there where I didn’t receive any quota bags. There are No guarantees, but that’s my experience and advice!

In my humble opinion, even with a leather appt if you did not get what you there for, don't buy anything at all.

If they don't want your money don't beg them then 😑

I think your mini Evelyn is in Barenia faubourg leather! Which is a pretty special leather and will patina beautifully. Hopefully knowing this makes you feel just a little bit better about the Paris appt fail❤ I also had the same disappointing experience at my Sevres Hermes appointment two years ago.

Get yourself a private shopper. You will be amazed how they can get you exactly what you want. They do have bags, they just don't want to sell it to you. If they have nothing at all, then why are they open daily - for what purpose?

I’m glad that you were honest to the SA and showed him your disappointment. Good thing that you didn’t sugar coat anything and pretended that you were over the moon to get a Mini Evelyn. 😢 I agree that they should not give out leather appointments if there’s zero stock… what a waste of time.

A leather appointment does not mean you will be offered a B/K/C!

I had a similar issue. I got an appointment on November 16 at sevres, I was so excited, only to get offered mini bolide, geta and 24/24. I was served by a tall individual called Alexander, he was rude and condescending towards me and my Muslim mother wearing her hijab, definitely racist. Super disappointed

I had pretty the same experience at Sevres back in February. I booked a flight and I was told no B/K/C xD my SA was super rude, didn’t even ask what I wanted, she just said that they don’t have bags but brought me picotin 🙈 Btw when I was waiting for my appointment, I’ve seen that some people were taken to vip rooms and Ive seen an SA carrying a box with a kelly (there was a sticker on the box facing me) 😆

I got an appointment at 6pm, I wasn’t offered anything and couldn’t even wait to look around as we had another reservation and had to collect my children. They were amazing there but in the 3 days I was there I didn’t see anyone being offered anything. I really don’t know if they are just not offering anymore without a pre spend but yes I only see hundreds claiming they walk in and got a bag in 10mins. Hope you’re successful another time. I was offered 2 clutches that were incredible but really wasn’t what I wanted. Xxxx

So sorry you had this experience. I’ve been applying for leather appointments too from Portugal and haven’t gotten one yet. I was going to fly my daughter and I there for the appointment, but I not sure I would now. Did you have a profile at the Paris location or any prespend in Paris? Just curious if there were any other factors affecting your offer, but it honestly just feels like bad luck. How would they have known they weren’t going to get their normal shipment in?

I think your bag is super cute❤But I really understand your disappointment. If you got a Constance at least it would be worth the trip. So sorry😢
