Have to give this guy more credit than that, these might be a bit long winded at times, but they are also expensive to make. Besides, watching him blow up shit is highly entertaining and worth the wait in most of his posts.

Which one did the most damage is subjective. The first bullet is softer so expanded more on impact than the full metal jacket. But if your objective was to shoot through a wall or armored vehicle, the second round would penetrate more and do more damage.

.50 caliber Spotter This round was used in conjunction with the M40 106mm Recoilless rifle, developed in the late 1950’s. The standard load, the M48A1, is an observation/tracer. The gun that it is fired from is mounted co-axially to the 106mm weapon and is designed to have the same trajectory as the main weapon. The idea being that a successful strike by the .50 cal will mean a first round hit by the main weapon.
