As a car enthusiast and pragmatist, I just purchased this vehicle. Maybe it’s because I’m not as jaded by having driven supercars… but this thing is fun to drive. There’s no other car outside of a 911 that I’d rather own for my situation. Younger me would be stunned at that revelation.

Wish they would do more PHEV’s. Really the sweet spot. Decent EV only range that would handle around town errands and alot of peoples commutes, pretty good performance in hybrid mode and no worries about battery range.

I’ve had my 23 Prime for nearly a year and I’ve really enjoyed it— especially as a younger car enthusiast that has free charging from work, commute is 20 miles both ways. I’ve only filled it up 5 times since I’ve had it. I agree with Topher’s POV, not perfect but amazing for a daily commuting vehicle (depending on your commute ofc, bc Prime)! Great content as always 🙌🏻
  • I love how he said "im running late" and then spent 6 minutes walking around the entire interior

The Prius just beat out the Ford Bronco and Ferrari Purosangue for World Car Design of the Year. What an incredible turnaround.

I have a 2023 Prius Prime XSE Premium, but without the solar roof, parking assist, or digital rear view mirror. My cost was $50K out the door by the time I got done paying taxes and fees and stuff. I got a phone holder that fits in the right-hand cup holder, and I power my phone via USB-C. So I have that sort-of available to me. I plug it in every night and start the morning with a full charge. My commute to work is 25 miles each way, LA freeway, and I start early to try to avoid the worst traffic. I can get all the way to work on battery alone, and I have plenty of pep for that trip. Coming home I can get about 10 miles through city streets to the toll road I like for the homeward trip, and then the engine kicks in for the actual freeway stuff, very nice. I love the dynamic cruise control with TrafficJamAssist, and the lane keeping is a nice bonus. My previous car was a 2008 Corolla with a manual transmission, I love the boost in power from the Prius and the fact that I no longer have to even worry about the throttle or brake, let alone shift. With my commute and charging I am getting about 100 mpg overall. My coffee mug is 52oz, does not fit in the cup holder. So in the passenger seat, held in by the seat belt, is a leveled piece of plywood with a huge cup holder and built-up storage/holder for the things I might want access to easily. It is also a handy place to drop things for a short time. Since I am almost always alone it just resided in the passenger seat, but if I DO have a passenger I can undo the seat belt and move my "shotgun caddy" to the rear. It's my car, I get to customize it for me. I took a trip to Tucson and on the way out I had the cruise control set at 90mph, I got 35mpg (calculated when I filled the tank, not the instruments.) On the way back I set cruise control for 76mph and got about 40 mph. It's still better than my old Corolla under ideal conditions, and I have WAY more power and style and comfort. The Prius cruises very nicely at speed, firmly on the road and not dancing in my lane.

I am so glad that not everyone is crazy over SUVs and there are people who still find sedans attractive!!🙏

Great car and so glad you played feel good again love that song 🎶. Solar charging roof is a fantastic idea

I really, really love the red accents on the seats and the red ambient strip and lighting going across the entire dash it looks really classy

I just got a Camry XSE Hybrid, and I love it overall. The seats are rather...hard, to say the least compared to my previous Altima. The Rear cross traffic alert chime is perfect for parking lots when backing out, its saved me a few times when the rear camera couldn't see the car coming but the car still alerted me of incoming traffic. Perfect choice for someone living in a city or close to a city, but redundant choice of a hybrid if you live far out in the woods (like me). I should've purchased a plug in hybrid instead considering I have such a long commute most of the time.

Totally agree, nice to see a car instead of an SUV!

It may be different for the new generation of prius, but the "B" mode does not increase regenerative braking, but instead revs up the motor without using gas to use up energy and slow down the vehicle. Generally, you should only use it going down large hills to take away wear from your physical brakes.
  • How'd you get one with a solar roof? The dealers out in Los Angeles don't even seem to believe they exist.
