Chikungunya is a mosquito borne viral disease caused by the chikungunya virus transmitted by the bites of infected female mosquitoes.

Part-1 of this video contains the important information about the Chikungunya fever. The causes of chikungunya including virus, vector mosquito (Aedis aegypti & Aedis albopictus) with pathogenesis & transmission are discussed in details. The chikungunya occurs when infected female mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti & Aedes albopictus) bite the human & then the chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is introduced into the human body.
