  • Debo! Great stuff man! Love the hot water trick. I always throw braid to floro leader on my spinning reel. We were talking about the B-Lat video on straight floro. It was on the Scott Martin Channel. I’ll drop the link. I would love a video on your favorite flipping set up. Thanks! https://youtu.be/9EdiABzKeME
  • As someone getting back into fishing after 23yrs, this was very helpful! Thanks for the beginners video on spooling.
  • I’m new to fishing and I’m learning from YouTube. I spent 2 hours trying to spool my spinning reel based on what others were saying the line should do. I always had it twisting like you showed and I couldn’t understand why, given I was following the directions. Just wanted to say thank you for the video, it’s the best on YouTube, I’ve watched all of them.
  • Hands down, most informative video ever. I don't know if you did any editing but damn dude, you talked the entire time. No dead space...just serious information and great tips for us rookies. Thank you...
  • Dude. I don't remember watching :17 mins of anything recently. Love your attitude. Sending this to all my rookie fishies.
  • I'm glad u addressed the fact wether the spool matches the direction of your reel spin you're gonna get line twist. I've watched multiple videos where some say they need to match some say they need to be opposite and I was still getting line twist and really losing it. I haven't really eliminated but your video made me realize I'm not losing my freaking mind. Thank u
  • "Some high quality hot H2O." Love the Waterboy reference! Great tips to remind me never to fool with mono again on my spinning set-ups.
  • Best spooling how-too vid I've seen. I watched a lot of them while doing my spooling vid and 99.9% tell you to spool your line without twists. Amazing how even the seasoned pros don't understand how line acts when going on or coming off a stationary spool. +1 subscriber. Look forward to watching your other vids.
  • I just starting fishing and have been watching lots of your videos to learn. I was running into so many problems with the line nesting and unspooling. I managed to get it figured out but this helped me to understand why and how to correct it. Thanks Debo!
  • Debo! This video and all others you have not only teaches me new things but saves the day! You rock dude. Keep em’ coming. Cheers!
  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Always always trying to learn something new - Stretching and heating the mono. Love it.
  • DEBO You are awesome you tell the truth. You explain what your covering for us fishermen who don't as much as you and you share it in a simple way and are not hesitant to speak the true. Keep it coming Love you man.
  • This guy knows how to teach and is thorough. Thank you!!! I listened to some other videos before yours and spooled the line around my reel wrong….what a mess. I’m gonna try again using your instructions. Thank you!!
  • Wow! What an amazing video! This one is one of your bests for sure!! It doesnt matter your skill level with spinning reels; if you use a spinning reel you NEED to watch this. Lots of great helpful tips in here. Thanks for continuing to make such good quality structured videos!
  • I have used spinning reels whole life until last yr. I thought I had it figured out in spoiling. But you gave some tips i have never thought of. I setup the spool to unwind over the top with the line thru all the guides and have rod tip about 10' from spool. Great video thanks for the tips.
  • Soap comment so funny!! Showed my wife. Same argument at my house. New to channel. Will keep watching. You have great stuff.
  • def appreciate refresher videos on stuff like spooling, as well as hearing benefits of different line choices. I've been doing the same for a number of years now myself, and love the braid to flouro leader choice for longevity of the line, castability, and sensitivity. good stuff Debo!
  • Thanks for this video - I'm an amateur and have learned 5 helpful items in this video. Most appreciated is how concise this info is. Cheers.
  • Thank you. I found the exact same results after 30 plus years, and it was comforting to know that all the different methods don't limit twist, they help in an attempt to minimize it. If you have a boat, let all the line off of the spool behind the boat, then reel it in. Twist gone. No boat, send your son down the street on his bike with the line till the spool is empty, let it rest for 5 minute, then put pressure on the line with a wet sponge to add tension, while adding lubrication and not burning your finger tips.
