In 1966 my dad was one of many engineers invited to work on the 747 prototype at Boeing. Took the whole family for 5 months from NY to seattle...by car. What a treat! I have always loved that plane.

I work for Lufthansa in Frankfurt as an aircraft mechanic. I work mainly on the Long Range planes and the 747, A350 and A380 are great planes to work on, but personally I am for #Team747. Glad you enjoyed your flight.
  • The 747 is by far the most beautiful and majestic plane ever built. It broke my heart when they stopped making them.
  • @richterkleiber
Probably my favorite YouTube personality—fascinating, friendly, unpretentious, and well-produced! Whatever you upload, I know is going to be great and is a good day ✨👍☕️
  • I love the A380. Every time i see one in the sky. However I'm equally as excited when i see a four engine 747 go overhead too. I'm not that fussed about anything else in particular. Two engines is just not impresive for me unless they are attached to a SR71. I LOVE watching four engines go by.

Rare 747-8. Wonderful to see the iconic "queen of the skies" in all her glory!
  • @BatcatCA
"We expect a very on-time landing tomorrow in Frankfurt airport" is perhaps the most German thing I've heard in ages 😂
  • @littlee4620
I’ll throw out another adjective to describe the 747: majestic. There really is nothing like watching a 747 lift off or touch down.

I’m team 747 all the way. The story of how it came to be is amazing as well as it’s iconic and beautiful looks
  • @wingflex5367
747s are my favorite by far. No other plane can compete with the Queen.
  • @KrosanBeast315
As someone who has studied aircraft for 38 years, my vote is for the A220. That is a stunning plane!
  • @dwaynedonnelly
I've done a lot of flying, just did Montreal to Rome on a 777 and Athens to Toronto on a 787-9, both AC signature class, both flights were wonderful but nothing beats the Queen of the skies, she will be deeply missed.
  • @freakybuzz
Team 747 here. The quintessential blend of form and function into aesthetic perfection. In fact, each variation of the 747 managed to be more beautiful than the previous generation, reaching a zenith with the -8I.
  • @kevin19358
2:10, Team Airbus A350 because it's nice, beautiful and good looking plane, including the livery.
  • Sir Thank you. I am loosing my job at 53 after interacting with American customers for 20 years. I do not have the means to travel the world. But U have made it possible. God Bless.
  • @Andie8259
Team 747 here.Back in the day I used to fly between SFO-JFK on Tower Airlines 747-100 &200 aircraft. Flew them right up until about a month before Tower shut down. :o(. Really miss flying on that bird. Always one of the most stable aircraft and as you stated one of the most beautiful aircraft ever! Thanks for another truly enjoyable vid! Keep em coming and always safe travels to you both!
