After 2 decades of using every possible Black Trim coat, I FINALLY found the best trim coat product.
This is for the black plastic trim on any car or vehicle, that inevitably turns chalky gray or white over time.
This is an easy to use wipe on system (wear a glove!) directly to the plastic.
The results are not only instant, but lasts for years.
I have been using this product for 2 years now and vehicles that I applied the trim coat to ate still looking 100%!
I live in the California sun, which beams down incessantly, with barely a cloudy day break.
Here is where you can get the Cerakote product:

Also if you want the best Aluminum polish, I tested a dozen products and found the very best one.
The Blue magic can be found in the same link about in my suggested Amazon products.

Ran into this SAME issue today while detailing a friend's car! Considered running to the store to get some Cerakote Trim Restorer after running out of my Stoner's Trim Shine...😮‍💨 Will know what to use next time! Thanks for posting!!

The best way to get the perfect long lasting results is to wash the car, decontamination using isopropyl alcohol, then apply when dry. Love this product!

This is excellent and Walmart sells it. I’ve been a detailer for 25 years and prep is so important. Clean with rubbing alcohol first to get all the old products off. Will stay good for years and at least 100 washes.
  • I bought some based on this video. It WORKS! I've tried several different types but this works best! Thanks

I agree, that stuff is the best. You definitely want to make sure it is bone dry It left some white spots I couldn’t get out on new trim I was treating to prevent fade.

I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT!! IT WORKS LIKE SHOWN. I HAVE A 2015 CAMARO SS. THE GRILLS AND REAR DEFUSER ARE ALL PLASTIC. AFTER 9 YEARS OF LIVING IN THE TEXAS SUN(NO GARAGE) THEY WERE A LIGHT GRAY COLOR. IT MADE THEM LOOK BRAND NEW! GREAT REVIEW!!

The product is phenomenal and lasts for years even on a vehicle that lives outside in the sun and extreme heat ONLY If you follow the directions and properly prep the surface first. Secondly, make sure you are careful not to allow any streaking when applying with a new applicator sheet. Any streaking will dry with high and low spots or differences in coverage. This product is a Ceramic liquid product and once dried cannot be removed without sanding. There is you can apply to it that will remove it without damaging the plastic. Make sure it looks perfect when you apply it.

Flood Penetrol for oil based paint works just as well and costs $14 a quart which you can do your car at least 50 times if it ever needs it.

Poor Boy's Everlasting Trim Restorer is another good performer. Saw it tested with a bunch of others, on another channel.
  • Have not tried it, but last year I used cerakote headlight restore kit on my old land cruiser. It worked amazing and a year later it has held up, so I have no doubt it would work. I plan to get some.

I’ve used Ceracoat. It was by far the best and lasted the longest. It was a little too expensive for my daily driver. That said, I ll be buying it again for my new truck.
  • We were looking for something to bring back the trim and bumpers of her wrangler and we found a product called GX-3. Walmart sells it for $5 a spray can..we love it!!
  • @josephah2000
Just bought it based on this video. We have Land Cruisers too!
  • @peterrudy9207
I would use 303 Protectant regularly as a preventtive measure . Spray on directly , let set for a few minutes , wipe in and wipe off with a clean microfiber towel .

Funny, I used it on the same area of my 2019 Highlander and can't get over the excellent results!
