As a DB fan it's always a joy to see someone get introduced to DBZ, then make the stunning realization that there is an entire series before Z. Brilliant.

Lore-accurate details: - Piccolo primarily defending and using ranged attacks - Multiple tail grabs - Saibamen and Pikmin are both strange plant-like minion creatures - Vegeta repeatedly beating Goku within an inch of his life - Kazuya AI using beams and ranged blasts repeatedly similar to Vegeta - Goku losing 2 stocks immediately due to being worn out from using the Kaioken in past fights - Kazuya's final smash is the Galick Gun - Useless side character uses a sword to cut off Vegeta's tail - Vegeta is hit by the spirit bomb - Vegeta doesn't actually die from the spirit bomb and Kazuya flees to the right of the screen representing Vegeta leaving Earth - Goku and Gohan train against eachother in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber during the Cell arc - Gohan immediately walking off to right represents his unwillingness to fight in the Cell arc

Doug not knowing Dragon Ball Z is a sequel and being confused about every single detail that is only explained in the other show is absolutely legendary

It’s so fun watching the lab rats of twitch chat obey dougdoug’s whims, and at the same time control him, like a symbiotic relationship

This DBZ stuff needs to be a reoccurring bit, its just so funny to see Doug's reactions to the batshit insane plot.

For doug literally having zero understanding of dragon balls story, in some fantastical way, him and twitch chat made easily one of the best adaptions ever.

“Krillin contributes nothing” “Gohan needs a new strategy; he’s completely useless” “Piccolo isn’t doing anything” “This story makes no sense” Are we sure Doug hasn’t seen DBZ?

It's insane that they beat the strongest CPU in the game with a literal kamehameha, couldn't have been more perfect

To this day Piccolo nonchalantly blowing the Moon up with no repercussions or questions is my favourite DBZ thing.

As someone who's also never seen Dragon Ball Z, this was incredibly confusing and I loved every second of it

DougDoug is a genuinely great story teller for taking incomprehensible Twitch chat hivemind hijinks and DBZ lore to create a story

Clearly, Twitch chat killing themselves twice at the beginning of the fight was Goku using his Kaioken. Kirby killing Kazuya with the ultra sword is also obviously a reference to Yajirobe cutting off Vegeta's tail. At the end, the Hadoken (Kamehameha) manages to hit Kazuya (Vegeta ) and doesn't kill him, but it weakens him and he exits stage right, swearing revenge. Bravo, Twitch chat. Masterful storytelling.

I love how Krillin, the Level 1 Kirby CPU, managed to somehow score 2 out of the 3 kills on Vegeta. The fact that the second one was with a sword makes it even better.

"Does death mean anything on this show?" That's like, the best summary of the entirety of DBZ.

I cannot express how happy it makes me as a DB fan to see Doug react to DBZ with total confusion. Also: "Does death mean anything in this show?" As a matter of fact....

I don't know what's more entertaining; watching Doug and Twitch chat try and defeat an AI using only script commands, or Doug attempting to reconstruct the entire Saiyan Saga using only Smash Bros characters, having never seen Dragon Ball Z.
