Blockbuster finish to the 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics officially ended with a spectacular Closing Ceremony. And Team USA picked up another gold in a dramatic win in women’s basketball. NBC News’ Stephanie Gosk reports.

I notice that the singing during the closing ceremonies was sung, as the captions informed us, in a GLOBAL, LANGUAGE. ENGLISH OF COURSE.

The Paris 2024 Olympic games and beginning and closing ceremonies were the best I've ever seen. So warm and welcoming to all of the athletes, and the party for them at the end touched my heart. Congratulations to each and every one of them and to everyone who had a part in the beauty and splendor of the festivities for these young athletes!!

I hope the planners for the Los Angeles games were watching The opening ceremonies and see how much that one scene cause chaos. Learn from the mistakes. Don't repeat them no matter how much is politically correct to do it.

Peacock SHOULD have done far better with its broadcasting. Not only did they frequently cut off JARRINGLY AND ABRUPTEDLY their Paris PrimeTime broadcasts, they CUT OFF THE ENDING of the Closing Ceremonies! Who does that? Why?! NBC already paid 7 Billion for Olympics broadcast rights through 2032, and they've even dictated when certain events are to take place (swimming for example), to suit their primetime scheduling. Shoddy and shabby work Peacock. You'd better do SIGNIFICANTLY better in 2028, unless you want an avalanche of pilloried reviews on social media! Because stuff like that STILL matters to your advertisers and shareholders.
