Did you know the CHP has bicycle patrol units (BPU) throughout the state to help secure state buildings and infrastructure? In this VLOG, we highlight the Marin Area BPU and the area they secure, the Golden Gate Bridge.

Thank you for sharing this aspect of the CHP. I like the fact that you have been through crisis training and are there when needs you the most. I wish we had this on our Coronado bridge we have had too many desperate people lately. Thank you for your service to our community. I wish ya'll well

Hats off to you guys. I recall an episode of CHiPs where they tried that and they didn't have anything like what we saw here. Great job, I'd never be able to do those traffic cone maneuvers let alone patrol in a crowd!

Has the CHP ever considered e-bikes? They would increase endurance plus give officers the option to go up to 28 mph when there is a need to respond quickly.
