  • Any bookstore I can get lost in is a plus and I believe the last bookstore is someplace my mom would have to call me in order to find me which usually happens anyway.

Glad to see someone who also does manga loves Tolkien, I’ve been on the hunt and recently finished collecting every Tolkien book out there

  • @loktiz
wow this type of content is soooo entertaining and creative! Good job boogie! <3
  • yayyy I was waiting for this my favorite manga collector on YouTube :)
  • I've been reading books for my entire life and manga on and off and when I tell you I could spend that whole day in The Last Bookstore I mean it my entire life revolves around my books, their smells, how they look, it's literally the thing that makes me happiest

I also read normal novels along with manga! I think if anyone is making the jumó from Manga to Novels, checking out Japanese translated authors such as Haruki Murikami, Meiko Kawakami, or Kazuo Ishiguro are good places to start! While they aren’t necessarily anything like mangas, the culture and writing is fairly reminiscent to slice of life/thriller mangas. Also the obvious, manga light novels are a great way of starting.

I read more novels than I do manga, but I do love seeing people collect manga even if I don’t go that hard on it myself lol
  • @brednon2335
I do read novels, my mom and I are very similar (shocking) in that when she was growing up she was a bit of a bookworm, her favorite author being Stephen king, and when I was growing up I was really into goosebumps, which I find funny considering R.L Stine is called the Stephen king for kids. Thanks to manga and mainly light novels I’ve begun to rekindle my love for regular novels.

when I saw the thousand sunny in the background I thought how cool it would be to have it between the last volume of going merry and the first one when thousand sunny sails from water 7.
  • @PanelDaze
This is so cool. I can relate to the joy of being lost in a huge bookstore(s), there is not many of them left now.
  • @brokenredflag
I do colect other books that is not manga. I recomend the stormlight archives, the sword of kaigen, mage dragon and harry potter.
  • As a European it's really weird looking at a map of a US city. So many straight lines.
