That is an amazing Vision. That’s why I love this channel as you recycle other car parts to build your ideas. It is what sets you apart from all the others. Keep on chopping sir!
  • Always enjoy, and Pablo always helps, he brings the lunch box of smiles

Watching you cut up that fender I just reminded myself, "It's his to do what he wants with, at least it's finding new use somewhere". That was such a nice front end though...
  • @kliller854
I started to see your vision when you put the first piece up after all the cutting. Then when you put the second piece up I thought yeah he's got it! Up to that point I thought you lost your mind. ❤️ Impressive!!!
  • I have done what you are describing. I built the bones of the roof from wood. Then I added my vinyl to my liking. Took everything apart and modified an old convertible top frame to make it work. I had turned a 53 Chevy into a convertible. It took me I think two or three months as I was only 18 at the time. I’m 75 now. lol!

Really enjoyed seeing you brainstorming around the top, I was waiting for this moment to happen ! Thx again Brent for taking time to video all that, which is something you do well too.
  • sounds like you need another Karl visit so you guys can do a little imagineering metal shaping class again. You with your vision and Karls skills with moving metal you guys would set the world on its edge
  • Liking the shape and profile of this new top. Just keeping cutting pieces and tacking them together until you get what you want. Really nice work on this. Look forward to seeing more of this top come together. Be safe and stay well.
  • You didn't get a lot done, but you got the right part done!
  • Hey Brent, baby steps a lot of fiddling around but you did make some forward progress. It does look good and as long as you fit in comfortably you’re on the right path. Love how Pablo is there and always ready to help you. Later

i see where you're going with the roof, if i was doing it i think I'd use the frame you made cover it in mesh and fibre glass it.A lot of work but completely moldable to get the shape just right,it should be reasonably light too for taking it off and on.Whatever you do it'll look right in the end.Kep it up Brent it's rolling along nicely.I watch your channel before going out to my workshop in a morning it gives me some extra motivation .

Brent, l really like the progress on the top. The back of the top matches the back of the front fender! I see what you see! Great job, nice video, God bless jim
  • Did a removable chop hard top. I did a very minimal frame. Basically an perimiter frame with 3 bows. Glued felt to the frame then fiberglassed the felt to have a start to my shell. Couple layers of glass to get a solid shell about 1/8th inch thick. Then I did canvas to fit it. Looked like a soft top but worked perfectly. I welded nuts in my truck body. Two allen heads in the the front 3 on the rear. Bolted on an off in like 3 minutes when it was done. Just a thought for the future.
