I've seen this video like 1000 times and it still blows my mind every time.
  • 20 years later and no one has come close to having done what Bob did, I remember the crowd going crazy, half of us in stunned silence as he's making crazy aerial, and still landing on his board, not once, not twice but 3 times, was amazing to watch.
  • The commentary to this is one of the most iconic sports calls in the history of sports

Bob is my all time favorite. This is still, to this day, the single greatest thing I've ever seen on skateboard. Watching Bob is magic.
  • @joad9756
I watched this when I first started skating and wasn't impressed back then. now that I realise how high these are and how techy they are make me awe struck.
  • @LouDHate
When I heard Bob Burnquist was retiring from X Games, I instantly had to look this up. An absolutely legendary moment for the X Games, gives me goosebumps. Thank you Bob for blessing us with this amazing moment in your career 🙌🏼

The greatest part about skateboarding is that it's never been a competition; it's always been about pushing each other to another level, just to see who can stick the really crazy shit. I'm sure Bucky Lasek was more bewildered at was he was seeing than he was upset.
  • @jesushuerta8373
I was 10 years old when this happend, moms came running to the living room wondering if i was ok cuz i was losing my shit watching this lol
  • @guerrardi38
Não sei o que é melhor, a narração e o comentários dos caras ou as manobras, sensacional o vídeo!!
  • @TheFlash3237
Ok. So here you got Bob Burnquist doing tricks never seen before, so they dont even had names yet!!! Doing very difficult tricks even at switch mode which makes it more impressive and on the other side Tony Hawk is going nuts!!!! All of this = Best run ever!!
  • @notgonnapay
I remember wathing this when it happened. 20 years later and it still gives me chills.
  • @stillgaming
When I saw that way back when, it was the best vert run I'd ever seen. Still is. At some point he just said, "Fuck it. I'm going to do video game moves." After he's all but sealed it, he then takes it another fucking level at 1:10 "I'm going to do moves that aren't even IN the fucking video games yet, but they WILL BE." They should've given that a perfect 100 score, just for innovating like three impossible moves minimum in one run.

I was there for this. Every year or so I still go back and watch the video. Such an awesome run.
