WALL-E is a love story about robots from Disney Pixar, Eve and walle are in likeness with each other. WALL-E, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days tidying up the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But during 700 years, WALL-E has developed a personality, and he's more than a little lonely. Then he spots EVE (Elissa Knight), a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a scanning mission. Smitten WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure yet when he follows EVE across the galaxy.

Spilling the Milk: WALL-E is Jesus because he died for their sins MatPat: WALL-E is Satan because he tempted EVE out of the garden with a plant

Fun fact: when they pitched this movie, they didn’t even mean for one of the biggest takeaways to be to preserve the environment. It was meant to be just a film about robot love, but as they came up with the plot, and they realized how strong the imagery of abandoning earth was, they incorporated that theme into the rest of the movie.

The moment when you realized that two robots from the distant future have a better love story than sparkly vampires.

Editor really just gave us the craziest transition to the PS2 game.
  • @sS0O0L
This is basically the only video where they just do not hate on anything at any point of the video. It's almost uncomfortable how uncommon this is.
  • We need an entire sad short film about the captain finding out pizza plants arent a thing, the emotional trauma it must've inflicted on his brain was probably crippling, I hope he's ok.
  • I’m just watching other people watch this movie and it STILL made me tear up. Wall-E is just too powerful man
  • @Issei_Midoriya
I'm so happy you're watching my most favorite movie of all time. Wall-E will always be a classic

Wall-E was a rare Pixar movie. They made the most inventive idea they could think of. The main characters don’t even talk that much. Also, this movie is actually pretty accurate to the future. 😅

i just realized they started the captains row with the irl photo of the human captain. this means they got fat but also used to look 'real' and evolved into what WE see as animation. so the irl videos of the bnl CEO are just regular videos to them and not out of place as we feel. they basically just developed a new type of skin
  • AUTO isn’t a villain, he was just doing his job. He was programmed to maintain the best interests of the humans aboard the ship and a single weed growing inside a boot is hardly a great indicator that the Earth can sustain human life.

Fun Fact: WALL-E is not only the second Pixar film to be inducted in the National Film Registry (the first one was the original Toy Story obviously), it's also the first one to be distributed by the Criterion Collection (yes, the same company that identified films like Malcolm X, The Princess Bride, Blood Simple and every single Wes Anderson film to date as works of art). The latter was because the director (Andrew Stanton) gave them his word. It's just that GREAT! 😍😍😍
  • I feel like the ending provides a very good answer to the "Ship of Theseus" question. Wall-E has all/most of his parts replaced, including his equivalent of a brain. When he comes to, he's no longer himself. He's just a robot with a job to do. However, when Eve and Wall-E "kiss" (when the spark occurs), he slowly comes to. When he replaced his parts earlier in the film, he was still the same robot. He just got a replacement piece, akin to how we as humans have organ transplants. It wasn't the parts that made him Wall-E, it was his spark of life and personality. After he gets his spark back, he becomes his old self. Changed, both physically and emotionally, but the same old robot as before.

Wall-E was hands down my favorite Disney/Pixar movie as a kid, its probably the studios most creative work and imo has a better love story than most rom coms. Nothing can describe the emotions and nostalgia this movie gives me.
  • Shout out to the editor for deleting Eden I think we should normalize editors being this talented
  • i think the first 30 minutes of no dialogue makes walle the best of all pixar movies, you get hooked with just the animation and walle’s action itself
  • 16:45 to be fair, although none of us would be around when Wall-E becomes public domain, I would love a prequel drama on how BNL took over and destroyed the world, maybe including some internet theories such as Earth being trashed was an inside job so people will go on their starline cruisers. Considering how impressively well done some fans have made replica Wall-E and Eve robots, it could work very well for either animation or live action (probably live action to stay consistent with the footage in the film)
  • @Techno-Danger2
Jack: talks about wanting to eat the fat people Me: traumatic flashbacks to MatPat's Cannibalisms in Wall-e theory
  • Fun fact: the scene where wall e and eve are stuck in the garbage dump, it was initially eve who got attacked. Wall e then saved eve and they continued on their mission. However this was changed to wall e getting attacked instead because we then see eve choosing wall e over her mission of saving earth, the first time where she made a choice, that too one against her code
  • Imagine Wall-E navigating a Zombie Apocalypse Also I remember mistaking ROB for Wall E
