I think I've watched this a hundred times now. Watching Prince re-arrange the molecular structure of the universe with his guitar never gets old.
-
In a room full of literal Rock and Roll gods, Prince comes from nowhere, melts everyone’s faces off and reminds the world that he was arguably the greatest musician of all time.
-
This solo should have a place of it's own in the Hall of Fame.
-
When Eric Clapton was asked at the time, “what’s it like to be the world’s best living guitarist”. He replied “I don’t know, you had better go and ask Prince”
-
All guitars want Prince for Christmas.
-
I'm a huge Prince fan, but I think what I like most about this performance is how happy Dhani is. Warms the heart.
-
When Prince died, he went to Heaven held out his hands and caught that guitar 🎸 ❤️
-
I’m 60 and they just don’t make music like we had. This is one of my favorites - hands down. Prince tears it apart and puts it back together masterfully. He KILLED it. He was a genius and a legend. Gone far far too soon.
-
Explain to me how Prince never appears on a top guitarist of all time list??? Massively underrated artist
-
I’ve always loved how this was shot, with Petty, Lynne, Winwood, and Dhani getting the coverage for the first half; never really showing Prince (outright hiding him in shadows a few times), then all of a sudden putting him camera center for much of the 2nd half, unleashing him like a hidden weapon. It was brilliant
-
Even more amazing and brilliant when you read about the lead up to the solo. Prince not really practicing with the band beforehand, Dhani noticing that he was holding back in rehearsal, but knowing something exciting was going to happen. Prince just telling everyone not to worry it will be fine, and he absolutely delivers a solo that no one until then had expected or heard. This and his Super Bowl in the rain performance, unbelievable!
-
The way he finishes, tosses the guitar in the air, then walks off the stage is pure Rock Star energy.
-
One of the best solos Prince ever did. I miss him.
-
One of Princes' best solos, the look on his face, hes a bad ass and knows it, but doesn't act like it. Hes all class. Much respect from all performers on this stage. It doesn't get much better than this folks.
-
I love how Prince patiently waits his turn...then the world stands still!💜😍💯💥🫶🏽💜
-
Now THIS is the greatest guitarist of all time. Bloody remarkable.
-
Dhani is the spitting image of George, Tom has the perfect voice for this song, Jeff has perfect control over the guitar runs and Prince show why he was arguably on of the greatest guitarists of all time. Fantastic performance.
-
My God!!! He did that while laughing and having fun. One of the baddest dudes to ever walk this earth. I’m starting to feel that Prince might of been the greatest musician ever.
-
I think Prince shows exactly how a guitar weeps for the loss of someone so wonderful as George. Great tribute

Marc Mann deserves to be in the credits here too. He is incredible on the lead. And Prince was just supernatural.
