Paul shares several observational studies about the protective effects of raw milk. He also distinguishes between epidemiology versus interventional studies and clarifies why he is not a fan of epidemiology when it comes to vegetables. He empowers us to spot healthy user bias or unhealthy user bias in certain studies.

I drank raw milk in my country and never had a problem. It was when I arrived in the US and drank pasteurized milk that I developed issues with milk. I switched to Raw goats and problems have dissipated.
  • I've had a negative reaction to dairy all my life. Asthma, bloating, sneezing. Once I worked up the nerve to try raw dairy ibwwas stunned. Not only did I not have any of those issues, my lungs felt clearer than ever and my digestion was amazing. Now we can't access any and I miss it. When we could get raw milk, cream, butter, etc it was really healing for me. Just felt so good with that in my life.

I haven't been able to drink milk for almost 20 years, it would make me bloated, gassy, and constipated. I tried grass fed organic pasteurized milk and still had the same issues. I finally had a chance to try raw milk and had no issues, and it was delicious.
  • I’m not carnivore. I’m a big raw dairy advocate though. I wish I would’ve known about the benefits of raw milk much sooner. I’m one year into my raw milk journey. (I’m now milking 2 jersey cows) I’ve lost 30 lbs this year. I’ve made 2 major changes, gave up wheat due to stomach issues and started drinking raw milk. I still love carbs just fine. I know BMIs can be off, but mine is now in the healthy weight category and I’m still dropping. I think a big part of that is raw milk feeding my gut after I got rid of the inflammation from the wheat. It’s awesome!!

Already after 10litres of raw milk consumption, palm-sized eczema in my chest has disappeared. I have tried quite a lot of different treatments during the past years.
  • I read all these comments and it seems to me a lot of people are taking shots at the Doctors food choices. It seems to ME , all he is doing is trying to find all the right foods to eat and ones to avoid to reach optimal health. Keep up the great work, your knowledge you are sharing is greatly appreciated.

Gave up dairy in my 30s thinking I'd outgrown the need. After about 25 years I suddenly found myself with multiple fractures. I was lucky to find the Weston Price Foundation plus a little book "Pottengers Cats". Returned to the raw milk of my childhood, nearly a quart a day. No more fractures for the last 10 years.
  • Yes sir, I drink raw milk almost every day. Wish I'd started much earlier

I appreciate you taking the time and explaining the logic regarding the way you decide if a study has any details that may not have been accounted for. It helps me sift through and find more effective studies, and their respective results, more efficiently.
  • Two possible reasons for the correlation between fish eaters and melanoma would be: 1. I assume lots of avid fisherman are exposed to more sunlight and tend to eat some of the fish they catch. 2. Likely areas with more fresh fish available for a good price (like near the ocean) are also areas where people spend more time outside with possibly more skin exposed. PS I eat very similar to you, Paul, and have recently come across your content. I love it!
  • I grew up on raw milk, from our own Jersey dairy cow. We also made our own butter. Now, I'm 69 & still working full time. Coincidence?? 😄

I started drinking raw milk two weeks ago after suffering from psoriasis in my wrists for months, the symptoms of inflammation are already disappearing.
  • Here in Michigan we have to own/lease part of the cow to get raw milk, but it's been a night and day difference in the health of my kids since we switched to raw milk
  • I grew on pasteurized aka dead worthless milk. I always suffered from eczema but I tried raw milk in Asheville NC and it was super delicious, nutritious and helped heal my skin issues and build muscle. Never had an issue and it taste better
