For those who made it to the end of the video: "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman! Leave yours below, I can't wait to add them to my playlist 🙌🏻🤣

This it not something I use to be "THAT Girl". My morning mental health routine just helps me to be "A Girl"......ugh, yes! There is so much pressure and expectations to have it all together and this illusion that once you instill certain practices into your routine, that all will be fixed and you will have some miraculous "glow up" (whatever the hell that is 😆). But for so many of us who live with depression and neurodivergence while ALSO journeying through motherhood, that's just unrealistic. Every little step helps. Thank you for your light and your authenticity. 🥰 also, I like to listen to witchy tunes like Lorena Mckennit, or Ayla Nereo 😊

feeling this so hard—morning routine sets the tone for my entire day as an AuDHDer... when I inevitably fall off the wagon I always know that I need to get back to the morning routine!
  • I’m a new subscriber and love your channel so much! I get up early too around 5. I make my bed, get dressed for a walk but first do a little meditation and light a candle and pull a couple of tarot cards and write some thoughts. I love morning walk and am trying to cut back on caffeine. Just one cup now. I eat healthy smoothie. I wish I could sew and be as creative as you. I live vicariously thru your creativity 💕 Thanks for great content.

This resonates so much with me, as someone who also has mental health issues. Thanks so much for sharing! Creating is so much harder when you’re neurodivergent, but “overflowing your cup” is such great advice. ❤
  • I get it especially since I deal with depression and anxiety as well. I find that if I start off my day feeling rushed and anxiety filled (which I so often do), it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Very rarely do I wake up and feel at ease

I can't remember the last time I went outside and it wasn't just to run errands. Every time I'm creative, I sit at my craft table and can't start 🙁 It's so difficult to explain to others that the smallest things sometimes take an incredible amount of energy and my brain no longer wants to work and the body has pressed the big red button in the brain that overrides everything..everday feels like acting against a virus in my brain that stops me from living life😕 (welcome to depression and adhd)😢

This was like looking in a mirror. Thank you so much for making this video

Thank you. Thank you for every moment you spend on this channel. The world needs you!! This was my first video I got to see of yours and I almost cried. Thank you
  • @jaroslavaart
Thank you for the video! I have an OCD, depression and schizophrenia and I struggle a lot. But your video is so inspiring. I wish there were more videos like this on Youtube. Take care! ❤😊
  • This video is a gold mine of tips, thank you 🙏 I'm a homeschooling mama of 2, with ADHDand a combined anxiety/depression disorder. My youngest has just turned 1 and both kids wake super early so I'm staying up later in the evenings at the moment to get some me time, but really want to move towards early mornings instead, will definitely be revisiting this video as soon as that becomes realistic once they're sleeping in just a little bit longer
  • I'm beginning a whole year reset using a morning routine to help with anxiety, but also to help me reach some goals I have set.Seems like a great idea for my 50th year on earth. I started a channel to keep me accountable. 💮🍀

Omg this a must needed video for me! I had struggled with depression recently after suffering a loss in the family. Great video!

I did years of therapy and all the worthless drugs for major depression until I got to the point where I could say, “Okay. Enough. I’m done with feeling bad. What makes me feel good?” And I started to do that. I am talking about major depression here. Not bipolar—I have no experience with that. Anyway, I finally started thinking outside the Mental Illness Industry confines, and I started following good, practical, hands-on advice for getting over myself. Get sunlight in your eyes early in the AM. Get in the woods. Do something creative. Get with friends. Eat REAL food, not sugary, floury packaged crap. Get movement every single dang day. Walk, Run, Dance. Laugh. You won’t want to do it. Do it anyway. You have a choice. This is the only effing life you will ever have. It is precious. You don’t have to waste it. You can let your depression keep you pinned to your dark room, or you can open the door. It can take a long time to realize this is possible. I was on meds for 18 YEARS. The mental illness industry told me “You’ll be on these—fill in the blank Paxil, Lexapro, Cymbalta blah, blah, blah—for the REST of your LIFE.” They were wrong. I wasted years thinking I was always going to be depressed, until I realized one day, I could help myself. I did not HAVE to identify as “depressed.” I was standing in an emotional thunderstorm—getting drenched. And finally, I decided to step out from under the raincloud. I’ve been off drugs and no longer dealing with the mental illness industry since 2011. Did CBT give me tools? Sure. But, after about three years, I pretty much knew the CBT Drill. I didn’t need the additional 15 years of it. It can take awhile to realize this. I know people who identify as depressed are going to be angry and sputtering saying “But . . . But . . . But . . .” Right about now. Your wonderful life is your ONLY life. You can live it in your dark room if you want to. You do you. Clearly, there are times in life when the dark room feeling is an appropriate response. You may be discouraged, dog-tired, frustrated, sad. I choose to use those terms rather than the vague and dire “depressed.” Feel the actual feelings, label them more accurately and process them. Do the things she says to do. Go for a freaking walk. Outside. In the sunshine. it is physiologically good for you. You don’t necessarily need that drug. Maybe it helps at the beginning, but Pfizer shareholders are relying on you filling your never-ending, lifelong prescription.

Thank you so much for sharing your morning routine! I'm starting to be out of the woods of a heavy two years depression, and i totally will try to create things on the morning! (and in love with the simplicity shirt!) thank you ❤ (and i'm really into melatonin by Zephyr or Jericho acapella by Iniko!)
  • @missfabidia
Your creative projects are sooooo exciting ❤ How did you discover you like sewing ? I feel like I dont know which creative activity I like the most.
  • @Stylvestre
As I am figuring things out since finding out I may have ADHD, (on standby for an official diagnosis) your video is a welcome treat. I am also reading A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD, it’s quite helpful for my journey. And your video is especially relevant to me as an artist/artisan and homeschooling mother of 3 boys. 😅 One of my main goals this year is to build myself a new wardrobe, I really like your choice of patterns! Especially the wrap dress, pants and classic shirt! Shopping for an off white linen fabric in fact, for the shirt 🥰
  • @AndiLynn
You’re so comforting ✨🥹 also been living for Olivia Rodrigo right now ngl 😂 it’s like I’m reliving my angsty teen years all over again 😎
  • Wow! Thank you so much. I quite also cafe. I wish you a peaceful day from Québec, Canada. 🙂💜✨
