Those women calling him arrogant? The irony is their comments were SUPER arrogant. 🤣 I got so much value from this video. Really appreciated!
  • @Andra-cr9cd
You're not arrogant at all. This is your field of expertise. You have always made it clear these are your opinions and that everyone is free to wear their hair however they want. You are giving valuable information to those of us who struggle with hairstyles and want to understand why they do or don't work for us. I think you are amazing and do a wonderful job here on this channel! ❤
  • @Indigo1.3897
As a licensed cosmetologist for over 10 years, I agree 💯 with everything said here. Great examples of what doesn't work, why, and how to correct. Excellent video.

I SO appreciate hearing from a professional what tends to look good or not good on more than 90% of people. My sister in law told me in 1992 that I “need to stop the 80’s hair thing”. I was a bit insulted in that moment, but a couple months later when I got a new haircut/style and endless compliments, I was THANKING her! Making suggestions is NOT being arrogant…it’s being HELPFUL! ❤
  • I don’t think the haters can hear properly. You are always humble and helpful. You never tell us we must do what you say, you only suggest ideas that MAY be helpful. I love your content! Thank you!
  • @noedai16
Licensed stylist here who’s been watching you for a few years… I love your honest and clear explanations of these haircuts and styles. The ppl making ugly comments are being a bit too general and just don’t understand how tailoring a not so great short style can make it much more flattering to the eye. Ps- I love the amount of detail you go into. Some of us love a visual with a thorough explanation and don’t want you to “get to the point”. That comment was not speaking for the rest of us who don’t want our hair chopped up carelessly. Thanks for making quality content with your own flavor added👍 👍

Actually, I'm a stylist myself and you are absolutely right and clearly very skilled at your profession and I totally appreciate your comments and opinions🎉
  • Great information. I struggle to find a stylist that completely understands what bob cut is best for my face shape. Good points.
  • @DEC729
I love the way you explain everything in detail—that’s how all teachers should be. I’m not a professional stylist but in all walks of life, you learn more by explaining in detail. There is nothing worse than going into a job not knowing everything that it entails. And, yes, you do not have to watch these videos. I do believe (whether you agree or not on his methodology) you probably learned “something”.
  • There's a major difference between dictating and making recommendations. And you always say that people should wear their hair the way they want and what makes them feel comfortable. As a former stylist, I personally think your tweaks are spot on, so please continue to help people understand the logistics of what goes into a good cut and style. You do you by helping us do the same! * blows kiss*

I have worn a bob haircut of one variety or another for several years, and have had some of these "mistakes" inflicted upon me by adventurous hairdressers. I agree whole heartedly with your analysis, and although changing some fundamentals from time to time, I now stick to some simple "rules", and am much happier!🤩
  • I love how rude people are when a professional who has worked in the industry for years , get up set about the free advice you are giving everyone. U can’t please them all. I agree w u on all these bobs honestly
  • @dean7468
You’re not arrogant? So strange. You are sharing your years of experience. Good to have!
  • @lucym1810
I am not a hair stylist, just a normal person wanting to look the best I can. I live in Australia and found your channel last year when I was looking for a new hairstyle. I continue to watch your videos because of the knowledge and depth you go into and if I was younger would have gone into hairdressing because of your inspirational videos. You are an amazing teacher. We need more people like you, so please continue to do your tutorials and THANK YOU for investing your time into them, we truly appreciate you 🙏
  • @susanfindell6154
This is a great video! You didn’t talk too much, you got right to the point in each tip. And as a retired hair stylist, these are all correct 😊
  • @MrAshtonone
Hi Justin, Thanks for a great video detailing how subtle changes can make a big difference in various "bob" cuts. I don't find you arrogant, personally, I appreciate your direct and detailed nature. Since I am growing my hair out and looking to change it up a little for fall I was looking for ideas and watched this video, and was glad I did. You provided the details I was looking for in a few cuts I would not consider without the changes you suggested (with the why included), so thanks for that! I found a great cut and color combination in the video as inspiration to bring with me to the salon next week. If people do not like the content, they are free to move on to another video 🤣🤣🤣

23 years here as a licensed stylist. There was a time I taught the A line cut to other stylists. You are absolutely right in everything you said. We get requests for all of it, but movement with no dramatics is the most beautiful. And you are also right when you say there are are exceptions.
  • As someone who has been wearing a bob haircut since 2007, I have learned a lot about them. I completely agree with you. I have also learned that many stylists do not cut them the same way which is frustrating. Thank you for all the information!
  • @sarahc8645
I like how you handled the unwanted comments. I commend you for handling them with grace. Also I like your video. I am always looking for ideas for haircuts for myself. Thank you for explaining why certain haircuts will not work but coming up with solutions and alternatives. I appreciate it!
