Yesterday’s report of the abhorrent knife attack conducted by a 17-year-old in Southport at a Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop has devastated the nation. As it stands, nine people are injured, six critically, and two children have been killed. Research shows knife-enabled crime is on the rise – with a 78% increase in the last ten years – so, do we need knife-crime awareness classes be taught in schools? Coleen and Sunetra fear it could skyrocket children's anxieties, meanwhile, Brenda thinks self-defence classes could be a viable alternative.

It's not knife crime, its terrorism. And no we shouldn't need training to feel safe for everyday life. Ridiculous.

Kids need better protection. Safety needs to be a priority. Police and gov need to do better. Just avoiding won’t do enough.

Honestly what can we do? Ban knifes of a certian size? Chefs knifes u need a license for? If it'll help save children it needs to be done.

Why has the whole knife attack thing become a British, way of life. Is the British people or immigrants who use knives in a more Casul way in their own countries, anyone know??

What is knife crime safety? A kid can't save themself against someone with a knife, and a grown adult will have a realy hard time defending themself, whats needed is parents that cares about their children and a society to looks after their citizens, if parents and society followed thoes simple rules there would be far less knife attacks and people that are sick gets help before they act on their hallucinations.

We have had knife crime lectures in school… it doesn’t work. Caught carrying a knife in public? 20 years in prison.
  • What a load of BS. KIDS NEED PROTECTION NOT HEALTH AND SAFTY INSTRUCTIONS 😢
  • Respect for one another should be taught in schools..regardless of race religion colour or creed!
