The seemingly endless rain over the city of Greycott shows no sign of receding. Residents have adapted to the inconvenience and spend much of their time indoors producing art and literature. Their works are of such quality that the city has become a cultural centre.

  • I finally found the side of the internet where all the good people are
  • Now this is a place where I would like to be quarantined, the crackling of the fireplace and a good book.

This is what I love from the internet. A peacful, serene break from the madness.
  • Listening to this my first night after a big surgery. I'm so exhausted, practically praying for relief. Thank you for this amazing dreamscape
  • This touches our oldest and most basic desire for warmth, peace and protection from the cold and storm just outside these walls. Perfect in time and place.
  • Most people are afraid of thunder and lightning, but not you. You take comfort in seeing an occasional flash that illuminates the room around you. Cozy and snug in your house, you flip to the next page of the book you are reading. The fireplace in front of you doesn't give much light, but it provides warmth, and that's even better. You take a sip of your hot tea and pull the blanket up to your chin. Nothing gets better than this.

5 years later, and the Summer Heat Wave of 2023 is making this scene look like paradise!
  • Since my husband’s passing. It’s been so hard for me to stay asleep. I just found this about two weeks ago. I can say that now I can sleep through the night with this on. Thank you so very much. Please don’t ever stop. ❤

That's enough scrolling through comments for you. Put the phone down and rest because there's a new day ahead.

I've seen/heard a lot of these "rain w/ ___ scene" videos, but what I particularly like about this one is that the wind, rain, and crackling fireplace don't all sound like one cacophony of noise in the exact same spot. The sound of the rain storm clearly outside and on the window as opposed to the fire which is louder and more clearly heard is brilliant. I love that I can hear the storm, but that it's "outside" where it belongs and that, for some reason puts me out like a light every time.
  • I really do like how the rain isn’t the same two or three minutes of audio and has a variety of different sounds. Like how it may be pelting on the window one minute then become a more gentle patter on the roof the next. Very soothing. 10/10 would recommend. ☺️💜💜

All these years later, this is still the best one.

OMG FINALLY! Rain sounds that actually sound like they're OUTSIDE the walls!! I hate the super wet sounding rain drops, this sounds so real! :)
